Toyota has unveiled the 2026 Camry, introducing a new Nightshade Edition.

This model features a sport-tuned suspension, black accents, and aluminum pedals.

A hybrid engine is standard, and buyers can select between front-wheel drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD).

The 2025 Toyota Camry took a bold new path, and now they're revealing several updates for 2026. Although these updates are minor, customers will see the addition of the Nightshade Edition.

Aimed at fans of a blacked-out aesthetic, the Camry Nightshade showcases various Midnight Black Metallic accents, including the grille, mirrors, door handles, and rear spoiler. Additionally, dark paint adorns the air curtains, canards, and diffuser, complemented by black 19-inch wheels and gloss black badging.

The black details stand out against Ice Cap or Supersonic Red paint options. For those looking for a more subdued choice, a Midnight Black Metallic exterior with matching accents is available.

The sporty design continues inside with black SofTex seats highlighted by contrasting white accents. Drivers will also find aluminum pedals, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, an 8-inch infotainment system, and a wireless smartphone charger.

Similar to the SE and XSE, the Nightshade Edition includes a sport-tuned suspension featuring a larger front stabilizer bar. The familiar hybrid powertrain consists of a 2.4-liter engine, an electric motor, and a compact lithium-ion battery pack.

This configuration permits the front-wheel drive variant to generate a combined output of 225 hp (168 kW / 228 PS). The all-wheel drive version, which adds a rear-mounted motor, boosts the output to 232 hp (173 kW / 235 PS). Both options are impressively efficient, with the all-wheel drive model projected to achieve 46 mpg in the city, 46 mpg on the highway, and 46 mpg combined.

Except for the Nightshade Edition, the 2026 Camry mostly carries over from the previous year. However, the SE, XLE, and XSE will now feature a new Dark Cosmos paint option described as a “sultry, hazy blue color.”

The 2026 Camry is expected to arrive at U.S. dealerships this summer, with pricing details to be announced closer to the launch date. The current model begins at $28,700 plus a $1,135 destination fee.
