You can choose the 911 Spirit 70 in any color you desire, provided it is Olive Neo green, though you have the option to remove the black decals if you wish.

Porsche has recently introduced its third model in the Heritage Design series of the 911, called the Spirit 70.

Drawing inspiration from the 1970s, it features numerous retro design elements both internally and externally.

This limited edition, which produces 532 hp, is set to launch in the summer, but its pricing may be influenced by Trump's tariffs.

Following the introduction of the 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition and the highly anticipated 911 Sport Classic, Porsche has returned with the newest member of its Heritage Design collection: the 911 Spirit 70. True to its name, this vehicle pays homage to the brand’s 1970s designs. Only 1,500 units will be made, and Porsche describes it as a “callback to the disco era.”

The 911 Spirit 70 is built on the rear-wheel drive GTS Cabriolet platform, featuring a 3.6-liter flat-six engine, an electric motor, an eTurbo, and a high-voltage system, yielding a combined output of 532 hp and 449 lb-ft of torque. It comes standard with 20-inch front and 21-inch rear Sport Classic center locking alloy wheels finished in a gold-grey shade referred to as Bronzite.

      A Nod to the Past

The design fully embraces retro aesthetics. The body is painted in a distinctive Olive Neo green, complemented by features such as a black windshield frame, a soft top, and three vintage stripes on the hood, adding to its nostalgic appeal. The elongated “911” lettering on the hood evokes a sense of nostalgia.

On the sides, graphics featuring the Porsche name and a satin black Lollipop with a unique start number highlight the brand's rich motorsport legacy, although these decals can be removed at the customer’s request.

To capture the classic look, Porsche has created a special hood crest that closely resembles the one used in 1963. Additionally, the gold-plated “Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur” badges on the front fenders and the “Porsche Heritage” badge on the engine grille, as well as the gold Porsche lettering and emblem at the rear, add to the classic theme.

A Vintage Interior That Hits All the Right Notes

The interior of this special edition 911 also draws from the ‘70s, featuring seat centers and accents in black and Olive Neo Pasha with a pattern reminiscent of a checkered flag. The upholstery is crafted from a blend of textile and flock yarn, and the decorative inlays on the seatback and dashboard can be upgraded to Pasha at no additional cost.

Porsche’s focus on detail is highlighted by the instrument cluster, which includes a 12.65-inch all-digital display with analog-style white pointers and scale lines, alongside green digits—a nod to classic 911s. The Sport Chrono stopwatch on the dashboard also features vintage green digits and white pointers, and buyers of the 911 Spirit 70 have the option to purchase a new Porsche Design chronograph to accompany their vehicle.

“The Heritage Design models hold a unique place in our product strategy from a design standpoint,” stated Michael Mauer, Vice President of Style Porsche. “These limited-edition sports cars encapsulate what makes the Porsche brand exceptional. Each design connects with our history—and these vehicles elevate that connection.”

A Limited Edition with a Price Tag to Match

Deliveries of the 911 Spirit 70 in the United States are set to begin in late summer. This limited edition will come with a price of $240,000, not including a processing, handling, and delivery fee of $2,500, as well as taxes, title registration, and dealer fees. Since all 911s are manufactured in Germany, Porsche notes that this price does not account for “any potential tariffs,” referring not to the ‘70s, but to 2025 and President Trump’s new policy aimed at significantly reducing imports through hefty taxes.
