Stellantis Provides Employee Discount for Everyone Amid Rising Recession Concerns | Carscoops
Customers of Dodge, Jeep, and Ram can save significant amounts on 2024 models due to a new program.
Stellantis is adopting a strategy similar to Ford’s by providing employee pricing for everyone.
The incentive reportedly only pertains to 2024 models, although details are still unclear.
Customers also have the option of cash incentives, so it's advisable to compare the available choices.
President Trump’s trade war continues to disrupt the economy, with the Dow dropping 1,522 points as of now. This follows a substantial decline yesterday, which was the largest seen since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
While the latest ‘crisis’ is self-inflicted, automakers are rushing to react and avoid a drop in sales. Ford initiated the trend yesterday by reintroducing employee pricing for all, which can save customers thousands.
The incentive applies to a variety of 2024 and 2025 Ford and Lincoln models. However, some vehicles are excluded, such as the redesigned Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator, as well as Super Duty pickups and Raptors, along with certain specialty Mustang and Bronco models.
Stellantis has swiftly developed its own employee pricing for all program. While the automaker has not provided extensive details, they released a statement to Reuters indicating that customers can choose between employee pricing or cash incentives.
However, it seems that Stellantis' offer may not be as appealing as Ford's. A memo reviewed by the publication states that their offer only applies to 2024 model year vehicles.
Though this news is not extremely thrilling, we should learn more about the program soon as it is reportedly launching today. It is expected to last until the end of the month, making it potentially worth exploring for anyone interested in purchasing a new Dodge, Jeep, or Ram vehicle.
While this incentive clearly responds to Ford's actions, it comes shortly after Stellantis announced a disappointing first quarter, where U.S. sales fell 12% to 293,225 units. Dodge sales plummeted by 49%, and Jeep sales decreased by 10%, largely due to gaps in their lineup for the Cherokee and Renegade models.
