The revamped classic Bronco features a 105 kWh battery, offering a range of 175 to 200 miles.
Electric motors work together to produce 500 hp and 440 lb-ft of torque, powering all four wheels.
Potential buyers will need to spend at least $449,000 on this limited restomod.
For years, Icon 4×4 has been quietly establishing the benchmark for restomodded Ford Broncos, blending vintage allure with contemporary technology in a way few can replicate. However, in a market increasingly leaning towards electrification, even Icon couldn’t resist the shift for long. After more than 5,000 hours of development, the California-based company has officially launched its inaugural electric Bronco program.

It’s clear that many classic Bronco fans may be entirely uninterested in converting their vehicles to electric, but for some, the convenience offered by an electric powertrain might be hard to resist. Icon’s electric Bronco employs a 400-volt electrical system and a sizable 105 kWh battery pack.
Power That Empowers, Range That… Sort Of Follows
Two electric motors drive all four wheels, producing a combined output exceeding 500 horsepower and 440 lb-ft (596 Nm) of torque. This is ample power to make this classic vehicle feel genuinely fast, something early Broncos were never noted for.
In fact, the electric version accelerates from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 4.5 seconds, which is impressive for a vintage model. What is less exciting is its range. Even with the substantial 105 kWh battery, Icon projects only 175 to 200 miles (282 to 320 km) on a full charge. This isn't exactly ideal for long-distance road trips. The irony of a “go-anywhere” truck with a range that makes you reconsider venturing far isn't lost on us.
Of course, the powertrain is just one aspect of the vehicle. As with all Icon projects, the company has upgraded the chassis with high-quality components, including Brembo brakes, adjustable Reiger suspension, and Currie axles with a locking front differential. While specific charging speeds aren’t detailed, Icon claims the Bronco can charge from 20 to 80 percent in under an hour. It also includes a 6.6 kW onboard Level 2 charger for home charging.
The first electric Bronco, called “Blue Star,” features a vibrant blue exterior and a completely updated interior. Icon has modernized the cabin materials and design while successfully maintaining the truck's retro charm, a balance for which it has become well-known.
Regarding the cost? It'll stop you quicker than the Brembos. The Special Limited Edition version, capped at just 10 units, starts at a steep $449,000. This makes it one of the priciest classic Broncos—whether electrified or not. With that budget, you could be considering a Ford GT, one of the brand’s most legendary performance vehicles.
