Pedestrian Amazingly Rescued by a Stationary Honda and Plenty of Good Fortune

      At times, the sidewalk can be the most perilous place. Surveillance footage from Brazil captures a woman strolling down the street just as a speeding pickup truck flips after colliding with a parked car beside her. Miraculously, she escaped being crushed during the chaotic event.

      As reported by Hora Certa (HC) Noticias, this astonishing near-miss happened last month in downtown Braço do Norte, Brazil. It appears the unidentified woman was heading towards a white Honda HR-V to enter the vehicle. Instead of opening the driver’s side door, she merely walks past.

      As she approaches the small CUV, a Chevy Montana compact truck is seen racing down the street, seemingly oblivious to her presence or the Honda. This is inferred from the fact that there appears to be no effort to evade either her or a pair of motorbikes that narrowly avoided collisions just moments before.

      The impact of the crash forces the Honda onto the sidewalk, where another woman is walking, while the Chevy simultaneously performs a 360-degree spin in the air. This entire sequence of events is nothing short of a series of miraculous outcomes.

      The woman on the road was not trapped; the woman on the sidewalk was not harmed; and the truck landed upright. The Daily Mail reported that nearby shop employees rushed to assist the woman, who was described as being in shock and able to “barely speak.”

      This incident perfectly illustrates the saying, “It’s better to be lucky than good.” According to HC Noticias, the police report indicated that intoxication was not involved. However, the driver was hurriedly trying to get to work. He was uninjured and was on his way to represent his company at a fair but was running late. In what could have been a tragic event, only the vehicles and some belongings suffered damage.
