Document Leaked Reveals Return of Ram's Hemi V8, New Jeep Models, TRX, and Additional Details | Carscoops
As stated in the document, the Ram 1500 is expected to feature 5.7L and 6.4L Hemi V8 engines.
Reports suggest that the TRX may return for 2025 with increased power compared to the previous model.
Fans of the Power Wagon might soon have the option of a turbodiesel engine for their truck.
An email from an employee at a Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram dealership in Wisconsin indicates that Stellantis enthusiasts have much to anticipate. This includes the new Ram 1500 TRX and the comeback of the 5.7-liter Hemi V8.
While this information should be approached with caution, the employee allegedly attended a "go to market" meeting where officials outlined plans for a variety of upcoming products. Some details have been confirmed, while many remain unverified.
In regard to the email obtained by Sportsnaut, it claims that officials confirmed the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 will again be available in the Ram 1500. Furthermore, it mentions that this engine will be accompanied by the 6.4-liter Hemi V8, which is already available in the heavy-duty models.
Regarding the powerful V8s, the Ram 1500 TRX is said to be "returning with more power." Although the email doesn't specify the engine, the previous model featured a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 delivering 702 hp (523 kW / 712 PS) and 650 lb-ft (880 Nm) of torque. This allowed the truck to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 4.5 seconds, achieve a top speed of 118 mph (190 km/h), and complete the quarter mile in 12.9 seconds at 108 mph (174 km/h).
In addition to performance enhancements, Ram is reportedly working on a new Night Edition and a Warlock trim for the 2500 and 3500 HD models. This aligns with the 2024 Ram 1500, which includes a blacked-out Night Edition, and the popular Warlock trim on the 1500.
Regarding off-road versions, the 2500 Power Wagon may be available with a new 6.7-liter Cummins turbodiesel inline-six that generates 430 hp (321 kW / 436 PS) and 1,075 lb-ft (1,456 Nm) of torque. This would represent a significant upgrade, as customers currently have a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 offering 405 hp (302 kW / 411 PS) and 429 lb-ft (581 Nm) of torque. This is particularly relevant considering the Chevrolet Silverado HD ZR2 provides both gas and diesel options.
The email discusses other product updates, but they are less noteworthy, mostly involving previously known information. It does mention that Jeep will begin production of the redesigned Cherokee – or its successor – in October.
Additionally, the email states that 2025 will be the final year for the Durango, and the Hornet will receive a GLH variant. Dodge CEO Matt McAlear confirmed this earlier this year and indicated that the performance-oriented crossover would be available in 2025.
