Wald provides one of the most extreme tuning options for the Land Cruiser Prado.

The bodykit features wide fenders, custom bumpers, and an extended roof.

The tuner has also showcased a lowered version with different wheels.

Wald International has boldly introduced its new "Desert Series Black Bison Edition" for the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, unlike anything seen before. The modifications are so extensive that they give this off-road legend a look akin to Japan’s version of the Brabus G-Class—suggesting a serious identity crisis for the G-Class.

After teasing us with renderings last year, Wald presented the actual vehicle at the 2025 Osaka Auto Messe. While initial designs included both a lifted and a lowered version, only the lifted version has been revealed so far.

True to its name, the Black Bison Edition focuses on aggressive visuals. It includes a custom bumper featuring intricate intakes, additional daytime running lights (DRLs), and an aluminum skid plate. A prominent hood scoop and an aerodynamic roof-mounted attachment with integrated fins and LEDs further enhance its appearance.

The side profile is accentuated by wide fender extensions that accommodate robust new wheels with mud-terrain tires. This specific build is also equipped with a lift kit and wider tracks for improved road presence and off-road performance.

The lowered variant of Wald’s Land Cruiser Prado has only been depicted in a rendering.

At the rear, Wald has incorporated a sporty bumper with a diffuser, decorative vents on the fenders, and a spoiler-mounted wing that seems slightly out of place.

The street-oriented version, which currently exists only in digital form, takes things even further with larger wheels fitted with performance tires and a lowering kit. While this could significantly compromise the Prado’s off-road capabilities, it’s clear there’s an audience that appreciates the concept of a “rugged” SUV that struggles with speed bumps.

There have been no updates on performance enhancements; however, those seeking more power can explore ways to upgrade the hybrid, gasoline, or diesel engine (depending on regional availability).

Wald has yet to announce pricing for the Desert Edition Black Bison kit for the Land Cruiser Prado or its availability outside Japan. Nevertheless, if you’re interested in a similar kit, Wald has already released one for the Land Cruiser 300 Series. So, you have options if this style appeals to you.
