The vehicle’s 3.6-liter turbocharged flat-six engine now produces 425 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque.
Additional enhancements include upgraded Brembo brakes and Bilstein coilovers.
The interior of the special RCT is largely adorned with beautiful tan leather.
While classic Porsche 911s are among the best sports cars, this particular model from RUF stands out as a notable exception. Originally a 1991 911 Carrera 2, it was converted into a RUF RCT in Canada before being brought into the United States. The bidding has already surpassed the price of a new limited-edition 911 S/C, and justifiably so.
RUF has implemented a number of extensive modifications. To begin with, the car has been repainted in Linden Green and is fitted with unique 18-inch wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires. It also features a lightweight aluminum hood, new front and rear bumpers, along with an enlarged engine cover and rear spoiler.
RUF has also upgraded the engine. The 3.6-liter turbocharged flat-six engine generates 425 hp and 420 lb-ft (569 Nm) of torque, transmitted to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission. With substantially more power than the original version, it makes sense for the car to be equipped with enhanced brakes, which include reinforced Brembo calipers over cross-drilled and ventilated rotors.
The RCT promises improved handling compared to its previous incarnation, due to the adjustable Bilstein coilovers fitted both front and back. The cabin is notably special as well, featuring new bucket seats upholstered in tan leather. It is also equipped with a Porsche Classic head unit, new door panels, a three-spoke RUF steering wheel, aluminum pedals, and a short shifter.
According to the listing on Bring a Trailer, the vehicle sustained damage in November 2016 and again in March 2019, prior to RUF's involvement. However, this should not deter interested buyers from bidding, as it now appears in immaculate condition and would be a perfect addition to any prestigious collection.
