Mitsubishi's 2025 Outlander Receives a New Design and an Increase in Price | Carscoops
Pricing increases by $1,250, but customers will notice updated styling and a larger infotainment system.
The refreshed Mitsubishi Outlander starts at $29,645 and will soon be available at U.S. dealerships.
Styling modifications are fairly subtle, but the interior has been upgraded with more sophisticated features.
Power comes from a well-known four-cylinder engine that generates 181 hp and 181 lb-ft of torque.
Mitsubishi revealed the updated Outlander last fall, and the company has now stated that U.S. pricing will start at $29,645, excluding a $1,495 destination fee. This reflects a price increase of $1,250, but the crossover includes several enhancements.
The 2025 Outlander remains easily identifiable, featuring a slightly altered grille and front bumper. Additionally, it boasts new 18- and 20-inch wheels and smoked-finish taillights. A new color option, Moonstone Gray Metallic, has also been added to the selection.
Significant changes are evident inside, where a standard 12.3-inch infotainment system with GPS navigation and compatibility with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay is now included. There’s also a reworked center console with newly placed cup holders. Passengers will find updated controls, larger armrests, and improved materials.
Furthermore, new 8- and 12-speaker Yamaha audio systems have been introduced. For the first time, the Outlander features ventilated front seats, available starting from the SEL trim and higher. In terms of seating, new upholstery options include Brick Brown semi-aniline leather and light gray synthetic leather with suede-like inserts.
The enhancements go beyond just equipment, as engineers made numerous improvements to reduce noise, vibration, and harshness. This led to a decrease of over 0.5dB in road noise and nearly 6dB in overall sound isolation compared to the 2024 model.
To enhance driving comfort, the crossover has a retuned power steering system aimed at greater precision. Additionally, recalibrated springs, shock absorbers, and stabilizer bars work together to improve ride quality and handling.
Power is supplied by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 181 hp (135 kW / 184 PS) and 181 lb-ft (245 Nm) of torque. This engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission and can be combined with an optional all-wheel-drive system for an extra $1,800 on most trims.
