The optional Equipe Pur Sang package is priced higher than a brand-new Porsche 911 GT3, yet it enhances the uniqueness of the Tourbillon.

As reported, the Bugatti Tourbillon can be customized with the new Equipe Pur Sang package.

This option introduces visual enhancements, including eight exhaust pipes and additional fins at the rear.

The package is said to increase the starting price of the hypercar, which is already $4 million, by an additional $240,000.

Bugatti is well-known for offering its customers extensive customization choices, and occasionally, custom features that render each hypercar genuinely distinctive. The latest instance is the Tourbillon, which is rumored to come with the "Equipe Pur Sang" package, featuring a striking eight exhaust pipes along with other exclusive visual modifications.

Though Bugatti has not officially introduced the Tourbillon Equipe Pur Sang package, images have emerged online, reportedly sourced from the brand's configurator.

These leaked visuals, shared by @bugattitourbillon.registry on Instagram, showcase various exterior and interior enhancements. These additions are available for those who opt for the exclusive features, further elevating the rarity of the vehicle.

      A Distinctive Statement

The most notable aspect is the eight exhaust pipes—four on each side—replacing the standard dual exhaust setup of the Tourbillon. If these images are accurate, this would represent the greatest number of tailpipes on a Bugatti, surpassing the six tailpipes found on the 2021 La Voiture Noire and the 1938 Type 57 Atlantic Coupe.

      Sharper Aesthetics and Unique Features

In addition to the extravagant exhaust configuration, the Equipe Pur Sang package features a newly designed front bumper with reshaped air intakes and a more streamlined splitter. At the rear, the hypercar boasts a body-colored diffuser and subtle side fins on the adaptive rear wing.

The model depicted in the renderings showcases a Matt Red finish with exposed carbon fiber highlights. The Equipe Pur Sang logo is prominently featured at the base of the horseshoe grille and on the rear wing, recalling the Veyron 16.4 Pur Sang, though this version opts for a more understated matte appearance.

Inside, Bugatti designers have incorporated Equipe Pur Sang badges on the headrests and dashboard, along with a new Aerolithe upholstery color. This is complemented by a combination of Matt Vermillion and Matt Red finishes on the carbon fiber, with matching stitching.

Despite these visual upgrades, there is no indication of performance enhancements. The Tourbillon continues to deliver an impressive 1,775 hp (1,324 kW / 1,800 PS) from its naturally aspirated 8.3-liter V16 engine coupled with three electric motors.

      The Cost of Exclusivity

The Instagram account that revealed this new package claims that the Equipe Pur Sang option adds $240,000 to the Tourbillon's price of €3.8 million ($4 million). If true, this makes the package more expensive than a new Porsche 911 GT3, which starts at $224,000 in the US. Nevertheless, the added exclusivity certainly enhances the Tourbillon's appeal—an important factor for Bugatti purchasers.

It will be interesting to see how many of the 250 Tourbillon owners choose the Equipe Pur Sang version, and whether Bugatti will introduce other similarly appealing options in its configurator.
