2025 Lexus LX Experiences Significant Price Increase with the Introduction of New Hybrid Variant | Carscoops

The base price has increased by $13,935 as Lexus has removed the entry-level LX.

Lexus has announced the pricing and performance details for the 2025 LX 700h.

The luxury SUV starts at $115,350 and features a hybrid V6 engine that delivers 457 hp and 583 lb-ft of torque.

The LX 600 is still available, but the streamlined lineup has caused prices to rise.

Lexus unveiled the 2025 LX last fall, and the model is currently reaching dealerships. However, be ready for a price increase from $92,915 to $106,850.

This marks a rise of $13,935, but the situation isn't as dire as it appears; the entry-level trim has been cut for 2025. Now, the LX comes standard as a Premium model, which is still $5,985 higher than last year's version.

What does this additional cost provide? Not much apart from a newly standard wireless smartphone charger, enhanced body rigidity, and new cab mount cushions aimed at considerably reducing low-frequency vibrations. Additionally, engineers have retuned the steering system for a more “linear response” while maintaining off-road capability.

That’s not particularly exciting, but the LX Premium is well-equipped with LED lighting, illuminated running boards, and a power liftgate with a kick sensor, alongside a moonroof and 20-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, there’s an abundance of screens, including a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch infotainment display, and a 7-inch screen for climate controls and the Multi-Terrain Select system. The LX Premium also features a heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated front seats, heated second-row seats, and a power-folding third row.

Additional features include a power tilt and telescoping steering column and a center console-mounted Cool Box. Other notable elements are themed ambient lighting and a ten-speaker audio system.

All models come equipped with the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 suite, which includes All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, and a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, along with Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Road Sign Assist, Intelligent High Beams, and Proactive Driving Assist.

Other standard driver assistance features include Traffic Jam Assist, Front Cross-Traffic Alert, and a Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. The model also offers a Panoramic View Monitor, a Multi-Terrain Monitor, and Intuitive Parking Assist with Auto Braking.

In addition to the LX 600 Premium, there’s the $113,850 LX 600 F Sport Handling and the $115,850 LX 600 Luxury. Both models maintain a similar design to their predecessors but with price increases of $6,725 and $6,985, respectively.

The SUV is powered by a twin-turbo 3.4-liter V6 engine producing 409 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque. It connects to a ten-speed automatic transmission and comes with a standard four-wheel drive system featuring a limited-slip locking center differential.

This configuration allows the luxury SUV to sprint from 0-60 mph in 6.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 130 mph. For fuel efficiency, owners can anticipate 17 mpg in the city, 22 mpg on the highway, and 19 mpg combined.

      The LX 700h: A Performance-Focused Hybrid

The major update for 2025 is the introduction of the LX 700h. It is slightly longer than the standard model and features a hybrid powertrain that includes a twin-turbo 3.4-liter V6, a ten-speed automatic transmission, an electric motor, and a nickel-metal hydride battery.

While Lexus has not provided extensive details about the powertrain, it increases the output to 457 hp and 583 lb-ft of torque, significantly reducing the 0-60 mph time to 6.4 seconds. However, the fuel economy figures remain relatively unchanged, with the hybrid achieving 19 mpg city, 22 mpg highway, and 20 mpg combined.

The LX 700h starts at $115,350 and is offered in Overtrail form. As implied by the name, it’s a rugged variant featuring front and rear locking differentials, along with 18-inch wheels fitted with 33-inch all-terrain tires. It also includes a front skid plate and an appearance package that adds a matte gray grille, black door handles, dark gray roof rails, dark chrome accents, and black fender flares. Additional features are all-weather floor liners and a 2,400W AC inverter.

The LX 700h is also available in F Sport Handling, Luxury, and Ultra Luxury trims. The latter stands out with a four-seat interior that includes second-row captain’s chairs with heating, ventilation, and massage functions. A center console with a wireless smartphone charger separates the seats, while the passenger
