Dodge may eventually introduce a widebody version of the Charger, but currently, tuners are at the forefront of this trend.
Recently, Waido Kits showcased an eye-catching widebody kit for the electric Dodge Charger Daytona.
The kit includes flared fenders, a larger front splitter, and components made from forged carbon fiber.
While pricing has yet to be confirmed, previous kits from Waido have been priced between $1,700 and $10,000.
Regardless of your feelings about the all-electric Dodge Charger Daytona, it's clear that it holds significant importance for the brand. Like earlier models, the new Charger is expected to attract considerable aftermarket interest, and with customer deliveries just starting, tuners have quickly begun to make modifications.
One of the pioneers in this effort is Waido Kits, a company based in the U.S. that has unveiled a striking widebody conversion for the electric Charger Daytona through various renderings. Considering their strategy, it's likely that a similar kit is being developed for the gasoline version anticipated this summer.
Waido Kits is well-acquainted with aftermarket body kits, having previously offered upgrades for vehicles like the Tesla Cybertruck, Ford Explorer, Jeep Grand Cherokee, and earlier Dodge Charger and Challenger models. Now, the company is focusing on the Daytona, although this specific kit is definitely not designed for those who favor understated aesthetics.
The widebody package begins with a more pronounced front splitter, complemented by a pair of new front quarter panels. Waido Kits has also designed new side skirts for the sizable electric vehicle and has attached flared rear quarter panels. Although there is no information on how much wider the vehicle is compared to a standard Charger Daytona, it certainly appears more formidable with these added flared arches.
Further modifications at the rear include a new diffuser and a fixed rear wing. Some components from Waido, notably the diffuser, appear to be crafted from forged carbon fiber, enhancing the dramatic look. The Charger depicted in these renderings is also equipped with custom wheels that feature forged carbon aero discs.
We have contacted Waido Kits to find out the cost of this package and will provide an update once we receive a response. Pricing for their previous widebody kits has varied considerably; for instance, their widebody setup for the previous-generation Charger began at $1,790, whereas the Challenger kit was priced at $2,090. On the more expensive side, Waido offers a $9,990 upgrade package for the Tesla Cybertruck, making it difficult to predict where the Daytona kit’s pricing will ultimately fall.
