Last month, several Canadair CL-415 water-bombing aircraft were among the numerous resources battling the wildfires that engulfed Los Angeles. The "super scooper" amphibious planes, which draw water from lakes to douse flames, became a symbol of hope for Californians facing the devastation. In light of this, our friends at the car-themed apparel brand Blipshift have created a design featuring the iconic aircraft, with proceeds benefiting the California Fire Foundation.
You can purchase it from Blipshift's website until February 9, 2025.
While Southern California's wildfires may no longer be in the news, countless firefighters and residents affected by the disasters are still grappling with the aftermath and will continue to do so for a considerable time. The California Fire Foundation offers assistance to firefighters and their families, along with support for fire victims.

The design, available on T-shirts, fitted shirts, hoodies, or posters, was created by Micheal Castiglione, Director of Exterior Design at Rivian. It appears he based it on a Creative Commons photo by Maarten Visser. Notably, Blipshift attributes the design's inspiration to renowned car critic Jonny Lieberman.
The prices are quite affordable ($25 for a fitted tee, $45 for hoodies), but it's worth noting that the fitted shirts tend to run smaller. Typically, I wear a medium T-shirt, but in Blipshift’s fitted selection, I find that large fits me better.
