Tesla Reduces Cybertruck Lease Costs By 25% Within Just Three Months | Carscoops

Although the Cybertruck is becoming more affordable, it still remains outside the financial reach of many.

Currently, the base AWD Cybertruck can be leased for as low as $987 with no downpayment required. Leasing the Cyberbeast without a downpayment now costs $1,232 per month for a duration of 36 months. Additionally, buyers of the Cybertruck Foundation Series are receiving a complimentary vinyl wrap as Tesla seeks to reduce its inventory.

Tesla has further lowered the leasing prices for the Cybertruck in the United States, marking the second significant price reduction in just two months as they aim to clear existing stock of their electric pickup. Furthermore, for those interested in the Foundation Series models, Tesla is enhancing the offer with a free exterior wrap.

      **Lower Leasing Costs (Again)**

To begin with leasing options, Tesla introduced a lease for the Cybertruck in November with a starting price of $999 per month along with a $7,500 downpayment for the basic All-Wheel Drive model. This was later reduced to $899, while the high-performance Cyberbeast became available for $999 monthly with the same upfront payment. Now, Tesla has further decreased the All-Wheel Drive lease rate to $749 per month, although the Cyberbeast's lease has slightly increased by one dollar, now standing at $1,000.

It is advisable to avoid signing a lease with a downpayment—there’s no need to pay a large sum upfront and risk losing it if the vehicle encounters issues. Fortunately, Tesla allows buyers to modify or completely eliminate the downpayment if desired.

The standard lease for a base Cybertruck is $749 monthly for 36 months with a $7,500 downpayment, effectively translating to $957 per month when accounting for the initial payment. If you opt to forego the downpayment, the monthly cost rises to $987. While it's a bit more each month, it means you won’t lose a large sum if the truck gets stolen or totaled.

If you're interested in driving the high-end Cyberbeast without a downpayment, prepare to pay $1,232 monthly for 36 months, excluding taxes and delivery fees.

      **Free Wraps for Foundation Series**

In addition to the lower lease prices, Tesla has announced that newly purchased Foundation Series Cybertrucks now come with a complimentary vinyl wrap valued at $6,000 at participating locations. Tesla has faced challenges selling all of the initial production models, which likely accounts for this added incentive. Reports from December indicated that Tesla began removing the “Foundation Series” engraving from unsold vehicles, enabling them to be relabeled as standard Cybertrucks—resulting in a significant $20,000 price reduction.
