The Maserati Grecale Cristallo has been unveiled with a color-changing Azzurro Aureo finish and minor interior modifications, available in both gas and electric variants.

Maserati has launched the special edition Grecale Cristallo, showcasing a distinctive Azzurro Aureo exterior and additional features. This edition is offered with both gasoline and electric powertrains.

Earlier this week, the Olympic torch passed by Maserati's Modena facility, prompting the company, in typical Stellantis fashion, to celebrate the occasion by unveiling the new Grecale Cristallo.

This special edition, part of a series of not particularly exclusive versions, takes inspiration from Monte Cristallo, described as “one of the most iconic peaks in the Dolomites.” The company characterized the mountain as a “location where matter and light converge with almost sculptural precision, creating a visual defined by balance and elegance.”

Regarding the Grecale Cristallo, it showcases a brand-new and exclusive color called Azzurro Aureo. This striking shade combines a blue base with golden mica flakes, allowing the crossover to appear blue, green, or a mix of both depending on the lighting. These colors pay homage to the mountain, while the golden mica signifies the “symbolic value of gold medals.”

The design enhancements extend beyond the paint. The special edition also includes a distinctive grille with Azzurro Aureo accents. Additionally, the Grecale features 21-inch diamond-cut wheels, self-leveling hubcaps, and Maserati-branded valve caps.

Interior upgrades are subtle, yet the Cristallo is adorned with elegant Ghiaccio (Ice) leather and “exclusive finishes and features.” Although details were scarce, it was noted that the crossover includes unique floor mats and lamps that cast the trident logo onto the ground.

The Grecale Cristallo special edition is now available for order in Modena, Trofeo, and Folgore configurations. The Modena variant features a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 325 hp (243 kW / 330 PS), while the Trofeo boasts a 3.0-liter Nettuno V6 with 523 hp (390 kW / 530 PS). Lastly, the fully electric Folgore is equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel drive system generating 542 hp (405 kW / 550 PS).
