Spotted in Kansas, this 19-foot SUV merges elements from three unusual vehicles.

The Firebird SUV utilizes a Town Car body paired with a Suburban frame.

Its rear section comes from a Dodge Magnum, contributing to the eclectic appearance.

Just when you think the automotive internet has exhausted all its surprises, a hybrid like this Firebird emerges. While these images showcase one individual's creative vision, they also hint at a plausible future for GM's currently inactive pony car lineup.

Unlike many body swap projects found online, this one was simply seen in Morris County, Kansas, and does not include insights from the creator regarding its origin or the components used.

However, the images from the mind-bending If Ya Squint It’s Mint Facebook page indicate that, although the distinctive ’77-78 Firebird front is the standout feature, most of the SUV is surprisingly made from parts of other brands.

      **Anatomy of a Mash-Up**

The core structure seems to be derived from a Lincoln Town Car, with a rear from a Dodge Magnum wagon, all resting on a ladder-frame truck chassis that a commenter familiar with the vehicle claims is from a Chevy Suburban.

It may seem like a recipe for disaster, but somehow it works. The vehicle is likely enormous, measuring almost 19 feet (5,800 mm) in length, and judging by the substantial rear overhang, the trunk must also be quite roomy.

If Burt Reynolds’ Bandit had been behind the wheel of one of these, he wouldn’t have needed to act as a decoy to transport the semi-load of beer across state lines – he could have easily handled it himself.

Putting humor aside, what was likely created as a one-off novelty may have an unexpectedly prophetic element. With Pontiac’s closure in 2010, the Firebird has no chance of returning soon, but there is a solid possibility that its counterpart, the Chevy Camaro, which was discontinued in 2024, might make a comeback as a crossover in the coming years.

If that occurs, it's almost certain that some aftermarket builders will attach a Firebird front end and a hefty price tag to it.
