Dealers Are Almost Giving Away These Overlooked GM EVs at the Moment | Carscoops
The BrightDrop 400 can be acquired for under $40,000 as the company aims to clear out its discontinued van models.
Chevrolet is discreetly liquidating its canceled BrightDrop vans.
Purchasers receive $21,500 in cash along with substantial dealer discounts.
Some BrightDrop 400 vans are marked down by over $28,000 from the MSRP.
Following a failed launch and years of poor sales, General Motors announced the cessation of BrightDrop van production. This announcement was made in October, and it appears that dealers are having a clearance sale to deplete their existing stock.
I first noticed this when a local Chevrolet dealer advertised a van for approximately $22,000 below MSRP. However, that pales in comparison to Chevrolet of Troy, Ohio, which has reduced the price of a 2025 BrightDrop 400 by $28,315. This reduction allows you to purchase the $68,310 electric vehicle for as little as $39,995.

That price is slightly more than a Ford Mustang Mach-E, which starts at $37,995. More significantly, it undercuts the Ford E-Transit Cargo by $13,265.
This isn't the only case, as Miami’s Bomnin Chevrolet has their $69,435 BrightDrop 400 listed for $40,435. This translates to a discount of $29,000, allowing you to buy a 2027 Chevrolet Bolt with the savings.
Ray Chevrolet in Fox Lake, Illinois isn’t as generous but has reduced their BrightDrop 400 by $28,348. Therefore, you can purchase the $69,935 delivery van for just $41,587.
If the standard model seems too compact for your preferences, you can opt for the BrightDrop 600. Kool Chevrolet offers a notable discount of $23,600 on theirs, bringing the price down to $47,450—much more favorable than the original MSRP of $71,050.
Similarly, Columbus’ Ricart Chevrolet has discounted their 2025 BrightDrop 600 by $25,253. Consequently, the $73,430 electric vehicle can now be bought for $48,177.
These substantial discounts are made possible due to $21,500 in customer cash. The offer requires buyers to take retail delivery by January 2, so it may be wise to act quickly if you're interested in owning a symbol of GM’s misguided faith in EVs.
