The 2026 Alfa Romeo Tonale is priced starting at $36,995 and showcases updated styling along with an enhanced interior.

The refreshed Alfa Romeo Tonale is making its U.S. debut at the LA Auto Show, featuring a revamped grille, bumper, and a wider selection of color options. U.S. versions will no longer offer the PHEV configuration and will come equipped with a 268 hp 2.0-liter turbo engine.

Alfa Romeo recently unveiled the facelifted Tonale, and it will be showcased at the Los Angeles Auto Show alongside the North American debut of the 33 Stradale.

Although we have seen the Tonale before, the company has confirmed that pricing starts at $36,995, not including a $3,250 destination charge. This marks an increase of $500 compared to the previous model, elevating the total entry price to $40,245.

In exchange, buyers will discover a new grille and a more athletic front bumper, complemented by an expanded color range including Giallo Ocra, Rosso Brera, and Verde Monza, plus an optional contrasting black roof for an additional $95. The interior has also been updated with enhanced materials, colors, and finishes.

While comprehensive details are yet to be disclosed, the entry-level Sprint trim features LED lighting, gloss black accents, and 18-inch wheels. Additionally, it includes aluminum pedals and fabric seats with contrasting stitching.

While not overly luxurious, a $1,995 Premium Package can be added to include ventilated leather front seats, an ambient lighting package, and a hands-free power liftgate.

The mid-tier Tonale Veloce is priced from $41,495 and comes with larger 19-inch wheels equipped with red Brembo brakes, dual-mode suspension, a hands-free power liftgate, aluminum paddle shifters, and perforated leather seats.

The Tonale Sport Speciale also starts at $41,495 but takes a more stylistic approach. This variant features silver details, gloss black Brembo brake calipers, and distinctive 20-inch wheels with a three-hole design.

Inside, it offers unique black-and-pearl perforated Alcantara seats with white contrast stitching, along with an Alcantara-wrapped dashboard and "exclusive ambient lighting signatures."

All three trims provide various options, including a $1,500 moonroof, a $750 Harmon Kardon premium audio system, and a $1,250 Active Assist Package, which comprises Active Driving Assist, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a surround-view camera system, and ParkSense parking assistance.

Despite many of the updates being minor, Alfa Romeo has opted to eliminate the plug-in hybrid option for this crossover. Consequently, all U.S. Tonales will feature a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 268 hp (200 kW / 272 PS) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive.

The 33 Stradale Will Make A Splash In LA

The 33 Stradale, introduced in 2023 and handcrafted by Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera, requires little introduction. It draws inspiration from the 1967 Tipo 33 Stradale and features dihedral doors alongside a carbon fiber monocoque.

Power comes from a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine, delivering 630 hp (470 kW / 639 PS). It is coupled with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, directing power to the rear wheels via an electronic limited-slip differential. This configuration allows the vehicle to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in under three seconds and achieve a top speed of 207 mph (333 km/h).
