The Italian car manufacturer has presented a preview of the 2027 Temerario Super Trofeo, featuring a rear-wheel drive concept with an output of 641 hp.

Lamborghini showcases the upcoming Temerario Super Trofeo racer, which will enter competition in 2027 and draws heavily from the Temerario GT3. This rear-drive vehicle is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine generating 641 hp.

After unveiling the Temerario GT3 earlier this summer, Lamborghini has now introduced the Temerario Super Trofeo concept. Displayed at the Misano World Circuit last weekend, this concept foreshadows the race car's debut on the track in 2027.

Intended to succeed the Huracán Super Trofeo, this new model is described as the "ultimate expression of our fun-to-drive philosophy."

It shares many components with the Temerario GT3, such as its engine and transmission, and is marketed as the "ideal entry point for those eager to experience the world of GT competition."

Lamborghini did not provide extensive details, but the concept features an aggressive exterior with canards and a prominent front splitter. Additionally, it boasts ventilated fenders, sporty side skirts, and what seems to be lightweight plexiglass, accompanied by a large rear wing and an impressive diffuser.

Uncomplicated V8 Power, No Hybrid Options

While the company did not reveal many specifics, they confirmed that the car is powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that omits hybrid technology. This engine produces 641 hp (478 kW / 650 PS) and directs power to the rear wheels.

Although this is less than the 907 hp (677 kW / 920 PS) provided by the Temerario, it surpasses the 542 hp (405 kW / 550 PS) of the Temerario GT3. Lamborghini characterized this power output as ideal for gentleman racers, stating that the engine is mated to a six-speed sequential transmission from Hoer.

The company also noted that the race car is built on an "ALU/CFK hybrid chassis," which incorporates a fully integrated FIA roll cage, ABS brakes, and an adjustable traction control system with 12 settings. Additionally, Lamborghini suggested that the model features a Capristo exhaust, BMC filters, and KW suspension components.

Lastly, drivers will encounter Dinamica Infinity upholstery on the dashboard, claimed to be the "world’s first 100% PES mono-component non-woven suede for automotive" use.

Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann commented, “Lamborghini was not originally conceived as a racing brand, yet our customers … have consistently requested a product designed for the track.” He added, “With the Temerario Super Trofeo, we are taking another significant step, reaffirming our commitment to providing a pure race car for the growing community that participates in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo weekends.”
