      A motorcyclist being chased by police in Georgia crashed after being surrounded by patrol cars.

      Video captures the moment a police vehicle collided with him amid heavy rain.

      The influencer known as DancingMoto sustained severe injuries from the impact.

      Fleeing from law enforcement is inadvisable in any situation. Doing so on a motorcycle during heavy rain, without proper safety gear, only exacerbates the situation, transforming a poor judgment call into a catastrophic one.

      However, this is exactly what a social media influencer recently undertook, resulting in hospitalization after being hit by police during the pursuit.

      Dramatic footage recorded by DancingMoto's helmet camera shows him speeding along a Georgia highway as at least two police cruisers chase him.

      In the video, a silver cruiser drives in front of him while another moves alongside. Both vehicles begin to decelerate, effectively trapping him between them, as a white SUV pulls over to the side of the road.

      Instead of applying the brakes, the motorcyclist pulls in the clutch and shifts down a gear, presumably intending to navigate between the cruisers. However, the police car quickly veers to the right, causing him to crash.

      Consequently, he lands on the pavement and slides on his back for several seconds. Moments later, one of the police officers drives directly into his path, forcefully knocking him down.

      Did Police Exceed Their Authority?

      The reason for the influencer, who boasts over a million followers, being pursued by the police is unclear. While many quickly criticized him for not stopping, some expressed concerns over the aggressive tactics employed by the authorities, questioning the legality of the collision.

      A GoFundMe page has been established for the young rider, indicating that the accident resulted in “serious injuries” and that “he’s now fighting for his life.” The page notes that the incident “left him with extensive, life-threatening injuries, and his condition remains uncertain.”

      Images depict him with significant road rash, a consequence of riding without a protective jacket or gloves during the chase. Hopefully, he achieves a full recovery, although it's likely he already regrets the impulsive decision not to pull over when he had the opportunity.
