Sub-$100K Corvette Z06s Are Nearing Arrival as Prices Continue to Decrease | Carscoops
While the C8 Z06 is undoubtedly impressive, its high production numbers mean that depreciation is inevitable.
This Corvette had an initial price tag of $135,580 but has already decreased in value by $33,000.
Recently, two Z06s on Bring a Trailer failed to receive bids exceeding $100,000.
For those looking for a supercar in the US with a budget of $100,000, the C8 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 should be a top contender. Prices for the Z06 have been decreasing as dealer inventories grow, making it one of the year's best bargains.
The base trim of the current Z06 starts at $112,000, which isn’t the most appealing version. The real value lies in the lightly-used market, where discounts are becoming significant. A striking 2024 model in Adrenaline Red was recently sold for just $102,000, marking one of the lowest transaction prices so far.
The BaT sold example is a 2LZ model with upgrades that include a $2,595 nose lift, $1,995 competition sport bucket seats, painted brake calipers, and black exhaust tips. Originally priced at $135,580, it has lost over $33,000 in value after only 8,000 miles.
Auctions Declining
It’s not an isolated case. Several other C8 Z06s have recently appeared on Bring a Trailer, but bidding often falls short of expectations.
In August, a black 2025 Corvette Z06 1LZ, with only 1,100 miles, was listed for sale. The bidding only reached $96,500, despite it having a sticker price of $120,375 and being in pristine condition from its time at GM’s Bowling Green factory.
Earlier this month, a white 2024 Z06 also failed to sell on BaT. This Corvette, with just 1,400 miles and a 3LZ trim priced at $156,950, saw bidding halt at $96,000.
Warranty Issues
An obstacle to the interest in that car was the fact that its factory warranty had been canceled by GM as it had been resold within the first 12 months. Although the owner claimed to have purchased an independent 48-month, 100,000-mile warranty from Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale, where the car was bought, many bidders seemed deterred by the absence of the reassurance that an official factory warranty provides.
