Honda Mapped the Finest Driving Roads in Europe; Which One is Your Favorite? | Carscoops

      A new map showcases 127 essential driving routes across 25 countries, featuring everything from mountain passes to coastal avenues that are ideal for exciting drives.

      Honda has introduced a website featuring 127 of Europe’s most breathtaking and scenic roads.

      These routes extend through 25 nations, including Slovakia, Spain, Italy, and the Scottish Highlands.

      Recently, the Honda Civic Type R has been discontinued in Europe due to noncompliance with new driver monitoring requirements.

      Although the Honda Civic Type R is no longer available in Europe (at least for now), the company aims for its passionate drivers to relish their vehicles on some of the best roads possible. To facilitate this, Honda has launched a special interactive map displaying 120 of Europe’s top driving roads. Importantly, you don't need to own a Honda to utilize the map.

      The site, Honda Dream Drives, features 127 routes throughout 25 European countries. It includes spectacular drives in the northern parts of Scotland, mountainous paths in Slovakia, and four impressive routes on the Spanish island of Mallorca.

      Notable Roads to Explore

      Some roads included on the map are world-renowned. Among the prominent routes are Italy’s Stelvio Pass, Romania's Transfăgărășan Highway, and the mountains surrounding Pianezze in Italy. A lesser-known yet stunning route is the memorable drive from Marbella, Spain to the quaint city of Ronda, which I had the pleasure of experiencing a few years ago.

      More Than Just Markers

      Each route featured on the map includes helpful information and a direct link to Google Maps, enabling drivers to plan their trips easily. The focus is not only on well-known destinations but also on capturing what makes driving enjoyable, including sweeping mountain turns and serene coastal roads.

      Honda announced the cessation of the Civic Type R in Europe back in July due to the vehicle's failure to meet new EU regulations mandating driver monitoring systems in all new cars. While it is possible for the Type R brand to make a comeback in Europe, the timing and the nature of any future performance-focused model remain uncertain.
