Dreame's electric sedan renderings are an unabashed imitation of the Bugatti Chiron that will certainly prompt a reaction from Bugatti’s legal team.

Dreame, known for its vacuum cleaners, has unveiled images of its inaugural electric vehicle (EV), which appears remarkably similar to the Bugatti Chiron, albeit with a longer wheelbase.

The company intends to showcase a prototype during January's CES in Las Vegas.

This Chinese firm, which specializes in products that effectively "suck," has teased its first car, which is anything but that. However, it seems legal issues may arise due to Dreame’s first EV looking strikingly like a Bugatti Chiron, reworked to include four doors.

The exterior renderings, reportedly generated entirely or partially using AI (as evidenced by the grille pattern), were shared on social media by Dream Technology founder Yu Hao. They depict a sleek four-door coupe that could easily be mistaken for a variant of the Bugatti Chiron that never went into production.

      **CES Presentation?**

According to reports from Chinese media, the company's new automotive division plans to reveal a physical prototype at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas next January.

While not a direct copy, the design is sufficiently similar to warrant a second look. The headlights differ, but key Chiron design features such as the horseshoe grille, central spine, and C-shaped rear quarter are unmistakably present.

The interior appears to be more original and does not include the vertically arranged dials found in the Chiron; the steering wheel of which was crafted from a single piece of aluminum without a touchscreen—something that would certainly be outdated for a Chinese vehicle in 2027. Instead, Dream Technology’s Chiron-inspired model boasts a large widescreen tablet above the console, along with an additional display on the console itself.

Last month, Dreame, established in 2017 and branding itself as China's answer to Apple, confirmed its plans to enter the automotive sector in 2027 with an electric hypercar designed to compete with Bugatti and Koenigsegg vehicles.

      **Seeking Space in Tesla's Vicinity**

The company is currently exploring potential sites for a new factory to manufacture the EV in Berlin, Germany, including a location adjacent to Tesla's Gigafactory, according to Car News China. Yu Hao has shared images of the Tesla facility along with a message stating, “factories in Europe are being selected for several businesses.” Furthermore, Chinese media outlet Jieman reports that Dreame is collaborating with French bank BNP Paribas to advance its automotive ambitions.

While the Chiron features a quad-turbo W16 engine producing 1,479 hp (1,500 PS / 1,103 kW) in its standard configuration, and its Tourbillon successor includes a naturally-aspirated hybrid V12 generating 1,775 hp (1,800 PS / 1,324 kW), Dreame's vehicle will be a fully electric model.

Will Bugatti’s legal team accept this blatant infringement of its intellectual property, or will they take action? We’ve reached out to the company for a response. Below are images of the faux Chiron alongside its real counterpart.

The electric sedan from Dreame is an obvious copy of the Chiron, which is likely to provoke a strong reaction from Bugatti's legal team.
