Toyota's off-road vehicle is now available at dealerships with an increased price and no mechanical modifications, but it features a variety of expensive options.

The 2026 model is offered in the entry-level 1958 and standard Land Cruiser versions. All trims are powered by a 2.4-liter turbocharged i-Force Max hybrid engine producing 326 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque. Buyers have the option to enhance their vehicles with features such as the $4,600 Premium Package upgrade.

The 2026 Land Cruiser has just debuted in the United States, and although there have been no updates for this model year, Toyota has nevertheless raised its price. The starting price is now $57,200 or $58,695, which includes delivery, processing, and handling fees. This Japanese SUV represents yet another instance of a price increase amid ongoing cost-of-living challenges.

As before, the entry-level 2026 Land Cruiser is the 1958 variant, which features unique circular headlights that are not available on other models in the lineup. Last year, its starting price was $56,700, meaning it has seen a $500 increase. Considering the significant new tariffs Toyota is facing and that the Land Cruiser is manufactured at the company's Tahara and Hino facilities in Japan, the price adjustment could have been worse.

While the 1958 serves as the base model, it includes a standard 2.4-liter turbocharged i-Force Max hybrid engine that delivers 326 hp and 465 lb-ft (630 Nm) of torque. This powertrain is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a full-time four-wheel-drive system.

Above the 1958 variant is the standard Land Cruiser, which offers the same hybrid setup and is priced from $63,275, up from last year’s price of $61,470. Including destination fees, the total comes to $64,770 before any additional options.

Regarding optional extras, the 2026 model year SUV includes numerous upgrades, such as a $4,600 Premium Package that features a 14-speaker JBL sound system, illuminated running boards, a digital rearview mirror, a center console cool box, a head-up display, lane change assist, and front cross-traffic alert. Additional options might include an $850 moonroof, a $1,395 performance cat-back exhaust, $700 steel door steps, a $1,440 roof rack, and a $805 skid plate package.

According to Toyota, the redesigned Land Cruiser is expected to start arriving at US dealerships later this month.
