Nissan Continues to Roll Out an Enhanced Frontier | Carscoops
The 2026 Frontier receives extra features and a new Dark Armor appearance package.
Nissan has unveiled the 2026 Frontier, starting at a price of $32,150.
This model includes several minor enhancements, such as standard LED headlights.
The SV trim now has more equipment, along with the introduction of Dark Armor and All-Weather packages.
The 2026 Nissan Frontier will be available later this summer, with a base price of $32,150 before a $1,695 destination fee. This reflects an increase of $100 compared to the previous model, although the destination fee has risen by $185.
What does the additional $285 provide? Not much, though the value-oriented S and SV trims now come with upgraded LED headlights instead of the traditional halogen ones. The SV trim also includes a newly standard eight-way power driver’s seat and an optional All-Weather package, which features a heated steering wheel, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, and a remote start system.
In addition, the Frontier SV introduces a new Dark Armor package that incorporates a dark grille, mirror caps, and badging, along with 17-inch alloy wheels with a black finish.
This design theme is carried into the interior, which features a black headliner and darkened door handles, along with dark trim and air vents.
The PRO-X and PRO-4X trims benefit from an eight-way power driver seat, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and remote engine start. New for 2026 is a Citrus Strike paint option, described as a “neon lime/yellow blend.”
Some trims also include a new drive mode selector with settings for Rock, Sand, Mud, On-Road, and Hill Descent Control, which Nissan states “adjusts key vehicle characteristics to ensure Frontier drivers get the performance and capability they need in nearly any scenario.”
Powering the Frontier is a familiar 3.8-liter V6 engine that delivers 310 hp (231 kW / 314 PS) and 281 lb-ft (381 Nm) of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission that can be combined with an optional four-wheel drive system.
