Once, we imagined that future cars would resemble the Tritan A2 three-wheeler: sleek, pointed, and reminiscent of something from comic books and The Jetsons. Unfortunately, reality has turned out to be far less fantastical, but you can still indulge that dream by acquiring one of the 10 Tritan Domino’s Pizza delivery vehicles recently available on Bring a Trailer.

This marks the second occasion that The Drive has featured one of these vehicles. The first instance was in 2018 when what seems to be a different chassis (the previous one was listed as #5, while this one is #7 according to the listing) appeared on Facebook Marketplace with a staggering price tag of $23,000. That particular model had a slightly altered design, featuring a Domino's logo on the wing without side text. The seller of this vehicle notes that the decals were recently added and are not the originals, which explains their absence in some photos.

The Tritan A2 was created by Douglas Amick, who established Tritan Ventures in 1984 and immediately sold ten units to Domino’s. Regular A2s—if they can be called that—came equipped with a rear seat behind the driver, but the Domino’s version replaced it with a pizza warmer. The A2 was a development of Amick’s Tritan Aero 135, which reportedly achieved a drag coefficient of 0.135, giving it its name. Take a look at its distinctive sliding canopy and the drive belts that rotate the rear wheels.

According to the seller, Domino’s removed the pizza warmers from their fleet before reselling them, which is unfortunate. However, a resourceful buyer could potentially address this issue with some effort. The original powertrain consisted of a 440cc Savkel rotary engine, later swapped out for a 670cc Predator V-Twin connected to a CVT. Both engines are included in the sale.

This vehicle is located in Michigan, has 40 miles listed, and the current bid stands at a much more reasonable $4,500 with six days left. The price will likely increase over the next week, but $4,500 is at least somewhat realistic for what one of these quirky, fiberglass machines should sell for.

Anyone who has seen a commercial or YouTube advertisement in the past decade has likely encountered a Domino’s ad, illustrating the company's penchant for quirky, attention-grabbing campaigns. The Tritan trikes exemplify that Domino’s has been doing this for quite a while.
