      The F-Racer Junior, a scaled-down version of the F40, was produced in 1992 and is one of only 10 units constructed in this style. It is painted black, a color that is extremely rare for a real F40, and is perfectly sized for two children or a single adult wishing to relive their childhood on a smaller scale.

      Compact in size, yet powerful

      The F-Racer is powered by a 270 cc (0.3-liter) gas engine, and while specific power figures are not available, it is said to be capable of reaching 35 mph (56 km/h). This speed is certainly insufficient for highway driving, but it is more than enough for casual cruising on sidewalks or racing around a golf course.

      Certain aspects of the car successfully mimic the authentic F40, including the plexiglass engine cover and rear wing. Nevertheless, some elements look rather peculiar, particularly the curved rear decklid, the miniature exhausts, and the subpar taillights. Notably, the vehicle is equipped with hydraulic disc brakes on all four wheels, an independent suspension, and a rear differential.

      Inside, the cabin features a minimalist design. It includes a flat-bottom steering wheel, basic carpeting, a dashboard with carbon fiber accents, and two functional gauges.

      Exclusivity comes at a cost

      While the F-Racer Junior is much less expensive than an F40, it is far from being inexpensive. In fact, RM Sotheby’s, which is managing the sale of this car, expects it to go for $30,000 to $50,000. That amount could purchase a new full-sized car, such as a Ford Mustang or a BMW 3-Series.
