The Ram 1500 TRX is set to make a comeback, potentially as soon as next year.

The refreshed truck may feature a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine, delivering a minimum of 702 horsepower.

Stellantis’ CEO indicated that the forthcoming Charger Sixpack will attract Dodge fans.

Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa has officially confirmed the return of the Ram 1500 TRX, a development that had been anticipated but is now officially announced.

During the company’s second quarter earnings call, Filosa emphasized that their top priority is expanding their operations in North America. To achieve this, the company plans to introduce new products and aim to boost sales.

More details suggest that Ram's rival to the Ford Raptor, the TRX, might return in 2026.

While specific details about the model are scarce at this time, earlier reports indicate that production could commence in January 2026. It is expected to follow the upgraded 1500 and will likely feature a supercharged 6.2-liter V8, generating at least 702 horsepower (523 kW / 712 PS) and 650 lb-ft (880 Nm) of torque. Nevertheless, to surpass the performance of the F-150 Raptor R, the power output will need to exceed 720 horsepower (537 kW / 730 PS).

Regarding engines, Filosa mentioned that discontinued powertrains are making a return, starting with the iconic Hemi V8. This implies that additional engines, beyond the 5.7-liter V8, are set for revival.

The executive also pointed out that the Trump Administration has granted them “greater flexibility” in determining the right balance between electric and internal combustion engine vehicles. He stated that this translates into “significant additional profit and volumes that align more closely with… customer demand.”

Filosa further noted that the 2026 Jeep Cherokee has been significantly enhanced compared to its predecessor, and the Charger Sixpack is “crucial for revitalizing our strong bond with the amazing community of Dodge enthusiasts.” He also hinted that “much more is on the way.”
