Audi Will Showcase a New Sports Coupe This Autumn, Possibly a Porsche in Disguise | Carscoops

      A new concept may be unveiled in Munich that is based on the Porsche 718 Electric.

      Audi is preparing to launch a captivating new concept this fall.

      It is referred to as a TT Moment 2.0, although it will not be a new TT model.

      Instead, the vehicle is expected to be larger and likely derived from the Porsche 718 Electric.

      The production of the Audi TT ended in 2023, and there have been many rumors regarding its return. Spy photographers have even captured what could be a prototype inspired by the forthcoming Porsche 718 Electric.

      Although it was initially thought that this model was still a long way off, Audi CEO Gernot Döllner recently disclosed that a new car is on the way, which will be their TT Moment 2.0. In an interview with Bild, Döllner confirmed that the electric concept is set to debut this fall, likely at the Munich Motor Show.

      Not much is known about this "identity builder," but a photo of the vehicle indicates it will be larger than the traditional TT, resembling a smaller version of the A5 Coupe/Convertible. This aligns with Döllner's description of it being “something in between” a TT and an R8.

      This certainly points towards a new model stemming from the Porsche 718 Electric, which is expected to enter production within the next two years. If all goes as planned, the successor to the TT could be significantly sportier and may feature an optional dual-motor all-wheel-drive system.

      Details remain unclear, but the 718 Electric has faced numerous challenges, with reports suggesting that its launch may be delayed until 2027 due to battery complications. This poses a significant concern as Porsche has already confirmed that the current 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman will cease production this October.
