
Hyundai's Latest Three-Row SUV is Now More Expensive but Offers a More Premium Experience | Carscoops
The larger and more upscale Palisade now has an increased cost of $1,735 for the 2026 model year.
Hyundai has revealed that the starting price for the 2026 Palisade will be $38,935.
The newly introduced Palisade Hybrid begins at $43,660 and is expected to achieve up to 34 mpg.
The crossover is set to arrive at dealerships later this month, with the Hybrid following this fall.
Hyundai showcased the 2026 Palisade at the New York Auto Show, announcing that U.S. pricing will commence at $38,935, which is an increase of $1,735. In return, customers will receive a more spacious three-row crossover that offers a hybrid power option.
The entry-level Palisade SE includes features such as a gloss black and chrome grille with LED lighting. Additional amenities consist of an acoustic windshield, laminated front side glass, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
Moving on, the eight-passenger interior is somewhat simplistic, yet includes a 4.2-inch cluster display and a 12.3-inch infotainment system compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other notable features comprise a leather-wrapped steering wheel, tri-zone automatic climate control, and hydrographic trim.
Despite its competitive pricing, the Palisade SE is equipped with numerous driver assistance technologies, including Smart Cruise Control, Highway Driving Assist, and Forward Collision-Avoidance. Other safety aids include Blind-Spot Collision Warning, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, and Parking Distance Warning, along with Safe Exit Assist, Rear Occupant Alert, Lane Keeping Assist / Lane Follow Assist, and Intelligent Speed Limit Assist.
The Palisade SEL is priced from $41,440 and offers a more upscale exterior with a power liftgate, silver roof rails, and mirrors featuring integrated turn signals. Inside, it boasts leatherette upholstery, heated front seats, and an eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat. Additional amenities include a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a wireless smartphone charger, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and second-row captain’s chairs.
The SEL also provides Convenience and Premium packages, the former of which adds a sunroof, a power passenger seat, and digital key technology. The SEL Premium enhances luxury with features such as a heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated first- and second-row seats, ambient lighting, HomeLink, a Surround View Monitor, and a Blind-Spot View Monitor.
Pricing for the 2026 models is as follows:
The Palisade Limited starts at $49,270, building on the SEL Premium by adding larger 20-inch wheels, gloss black accents, and a dual-pane sunroof. Buyers will also find leather seating, a heated power-folding third row, and a 14-speaker Bose premium audio system, along with updated trim details, a 115V power outlet, and an upgraded headliner.
The Palisade Calligraphy, priced at $54,060, features 21-inch wheels, a distinctive grille, and body-colored cladding. Interior upgrades include Nappa leather seats, a suede headliner, woodgrain trim, an Ergo motion driver seat, an integrated dashcam, and four-way power second-row seats with a Relaxation Mode, plus more advanced driver assistance features and a 12-inch head-up display.
Customers can also choose the off-road-oriented XRT PRO, which comes standard with all-wheel drive, starting at $49,370 and based on the SEL model. Designed for rugged terrain, this variant includes unique bumpers, recovery hooks, and a 1-inch lift, along with black accents, an electronic limited slip differential, and dark 18-inch wheels fitted with Continental all-terrain tires. Inside, it offers a heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated front seats, and a Bose audio system, along with ambient lighting and additional XRT specifics.
All of the aforementioned models are powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine producing 287 hp (214 kW / 291 PS) and 260 lb-ft (352 Nm) of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission that allows for either front or all-wheel drive. This setup achieves fuel efficiency ratings of up to 19 mpg in the city, 25 mpg on the highway, and 21 mpg combined.
Introducing a Powerful and Efficient Hybrid
Apart from the standard model, customers may opt for the new Palisade Hybrid, which offers a simplified trim lineup starting with the SEL variant at $43,660. Customers can also choose the SEL Premium, Limited, and Calligraphy trims.
While the trim levels reflect those of the regular model, the Hybrid stands out with its turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, a 1.65 kWh lithium-ion battery, a six-speed automatic transmission, and two electric motors.
