The new Subaru Uncharted is set to make its debut next week and seems to be a rebadged version of the Toyota C-HR.

Scheduled for July 10, 2025, Subaru has offered a preview of the 2026 Uncharted EV prior to its launch next week.

This compact crossover is anticipated to feature two battery options, three powertrains, and as much as 338 hp.

After a slow initial phase, Subaru is fully committing to electric vehicles. This initiative began earlier this year with the introduction of the updated Solterra and the new Trailseeker.

The development continues on July 17 with the launch of the 2026 Uncharted. While the company is keeping details to a minimum, they have stated that the model is a compact crossover designed to be “ready for your next adventure.”

In addition to the model's name, the automaker shared a teaser image that hints at a rear design similar to the Solterra, complete with a split upper spoiler and a lower mid-mounted spoiler. The teaser also reveals sleek taillights, an angular rear window, and the "SUBARU" branding on the liftgate.

Further details are difficult to discern, but a rounded roof in contrasting black is evident, along with an angular shoulder line and what seems to be a bulge near the third-quarter glass.

Not much else is known about this model, but earlier reports have indicated that it is likely another collaboration with Toyota. This speculation aligns with the similarities observed between the Uncharted and the Toyota C-HR.

If the new Subaru EV is indeed a rebadged C-HR, it is expected to come with a 77 kWh battery pack and a standard dual-motor all-wheel drive system producing 338 hp (252 kW / 343 PS). This setup should allow the crossover to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 96 km/h) in around five seconds, with an estimated range of approximately 290 miles (467 km).

In terms of dimensions, the Uncharted is expected to be about 178 inches (4,520 mm) long, with a wheelbase measuring 108.3 inches (2,750 mm). This would make it 6.6 inches (168 mm) shorter than the Solterra, with a wheelbase that is 3.9 inches (99 mm) less.
