AC's Retro Supercar Delivers Hypercar Performance with a Ferrari Price Tag | Carscoops
Limited to only 25 units, the AC GT SuperSport offers up to 1,025 hp and has a starting price of $550,000.
AC plans to manufacture just 25 units of the GT SuperSport specifically for the U.S. market.
The base price is $550,000, before taxes, and deliveries to customers are expected to begin in 2027.
This model can be customized to generate up to 1,025 hp from a V8 engine.
For around $550,000, you can purchase some truly remarkable vehicles in the U.S. One of the most extreme choices is the Ferrari SF90 Stradale, a plug-in hybrid supercar known for its incredible performance. If you're willing to exceed the $600,000 range, you could opt for the Lamborghini Revuelto, another powerful Italian contender. However, if you're not interested in European exotics, AC Cars America might offer an appealing alternative.
Introducing the AC GT SuperSport, a vehicle from the British brand that has been producing cars since 1901, now specifically targeted at the U.S. market. It fuses the classic design of the Cobra with hypercar-level performance, accompanied by a significant base price of $550,000, excluding taxes.
AC intends to produce just 25 examples of the GT SuperSport. While limited technical specifications have been revealed, the company indicates that customers will have the option to configure the car to achieve up to 1,025 hp from an upgraded V8 engine. Notably, the vehicle features various aerodynamic enhancements that correspond with its extraordinary power output.
For the first time in a contemporary AC Cobra model, the GT SuperSport is equipped with a pronounced fixed rear wing, which aids in sticking the rear wheels to the road. Although this wing may diverge from the traditional aesthetics of the body design, it should enhance stability, especially for drivers who dare to explore the car's performance limits.
Initial renderings of the vehicle showcase a small rear diffuser, unique side skirts, and a custom front fascia with a larger grille.
“It is fitting that we launch our most formidable model with AC Cars America, and the AC GT SuperSport will establish itself as a true icon of automotive engineering. Despite the extensive redesign, the car's lineage is unmistakable, and we are eager to reveal its full potential,” said AC Cars CEO David Conza regarding the new model. Customer deliveries are slated to start in 2027.
