Delta 4x4, which has so far showcased the modified EV as a digital concept, may potentially provide a conversion kit if there is significant customer interest.
Delta 4×4 has introduced an off-road concept based on Renault’s fully electric hatchback.
The model includes all-terrain tires, wide fender flares, additional LED lights, and a roof rack.
The R5 is only available with a single electric motor, lacking an all-wheel-drive option.
Among compact electric vehicles, the Renault 5 stands out for its unique design. Its sportier counterpart, the Alpine A290, shares a similar aesthetic, but one tuning company envisioned something different. Delta 4×4 has reimagined the Renault 5 not as a city vehicle, but as a tough, rally-inspired off-road machine.
Their aim was to redesign the EV into a compact off-road-ready vehicle, equipped with off-road features and motorsport-inspired styling. The transformation starts with a set of 18-inch alloy wheels fitted with robust all-terrain tires that enhance grip on loose surfaces, combined with a 100 mm (3.9-inch) suspension lift that significantly increases the hatchback's ground clearance.
Rugged Appeal with a Rally Influence
The elevated EV showcases four PIAA LED spotlights at the front, reminiscent of the classic R5 Turbo rally car. Although the bumpers are retained from the standard model, the enhanced R5 features wide fender extensions and leather straps on both the hood and the tailgate.
The Dakar-style roof rack accommodates dual LED bars for improved visibility, various containers, snow tracks, and a full-size spare tire. As a finishing touch, the vehicle is adorned in a vibrant livery that combines yellow, teal, pink, and black graphics on a white body.

Despite its rugged appearance, the base vehicle is available solely with a single electric motor, meaning there is no all-wheel-drive option. The most powerful version offers 148 hp (110 kW / 150 PS), while the performance-oriented Alpine A290 significantly increases this to 217 hp (220 PS / 160 kW).
High-end versions of the R5 come with a 52 kWh battery, providing a maximum WLTP range of 400 kilometers (249 miles) on a single charge. However, the increased tire grip, compromised aerodynamics, and additional weight from the off-road modifications will likely lower that range – not that it should pose a major concern, considering the model's purpose.
Currently, the lifted Renault 5 is only a digital concept. However, if there is sufficient interest, Delta 4×4 may offer a conversion kit for those who wish to transform their retro-styled EV into a mini off-roader. Renault 5 owners interested in the alteration can contact the company for further details.
