In addition to the official teasers, a prototype of the Stargazer has been seen undergoing testing without any camouflage.
Hyundai is preparing to launch a refreshed version of the Stargazer minivan in Indonesia.
This new model will showcase a revamped front, featuring H-shaped LED headlights and a wider grille.
Do not anticipate significant changes beneath the surface, as it is likely to retain the existing 1.5-liter engine.
The Hyundai Stargazer, which debuted in 2022 and took design inspiration from the modern Staria van, is set to receive a mid-life update three years later, incorporating a new design language.
A teaser from Hyundai Indonesia suggests substantial visual enhancements that go beyond a typical facelift. Additionally, a video of a prototype completely uncovered has emerged online, showcasing all external details prior to the official launch.
The main highlight is the reimagined front end, with a longer and flatter hood that creates more traditional two-box proportions. The Stargazer replaces the split headlight design with an H-shaped LED configuration and a significantly larger grille. The lower bumper features metal-style trim shaped like the letter “H” from the Hyundai logo.
The side profile remains largely unchanged from the current Stargazer, but the rear has undergone redesign. The LED taillights are now smaller and no longer have a triangular shape. The license plate has been relocated from the tailgate to the rear bumper, which now features a faux metal finish.

These design updates may slightly alter the exterior dimensions of the Stargazer, which currently measures 4,460 mm (175.6 inches). However, the 2,780 mm (109.4 inches) wheelbase is not expected to change. Similar updates might also be made to the Stargazer X, which has a higher ground clearance and crossover styling.
The interior could see enhancements in technology, mirroring the advancements seen in more recent Hyundai models, including a larger and more seamlessly integrated digital cockpit. The family-oriented cabin will continue to offer 6- and 7-seater options, both configured in three rows.
According to Hyundai, the updated model is designed to handle “every tight corner, sudden pothole, and steep incline” typical of Indonesian roads. This implies that the engineers may adjust the suspension settings to prioritize comfort.
Regarding powertrains, the current Stargazer is available only with a naturally aspirated 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine producing 113 hp (85 kW / 115 PS). This power is delivered to the front wheels via a six-speed manual transmission or a CVT. It is likely that the updated model will continue with this same setup.
The refreshed Hyundai Stargazer is anticipated to be revealed at the 2025 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show on July 24.
