Land Rover will unveil the all-black Range Rover SV Black at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

      By Brad Anderson

Under the hood of the Range Rover Sport SV Black is a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine.

It showcases completely blacked-out exterior badges and 23-inch black wheels.

The interior matches the exterior's dark theme, creating a stealthy ambiance.

For those looking for a Range Rover that not only has an impressive aesthetic but also delivers high performance, the new Range Rover Sport SV Black may be the ideal fit. Fully clad in black, it presents a menacing appearance, complemented by a powerful engine. In contrast to the short-lived SV Edition One and Edition Two, the SV Black will become a permanent addition to the Range Rover lineup.

Echoing Henry Ford's famous quote about the Model T, buyers of the Range Rover Sport SV Black can have their vehicle in any color they desire, provided it’s black. Specifically, this super SUV comes solely in Narvik Black, which is paired with the Narvik Gloss Black Exterior Pack.

Key highlights include a carbon fiber hood painted black, forged 23-inch wheels in Gloss Black, Gloss Black brake calipers, and Gloss Black tailpipes. Land Rover has also blacked out the SUV’s grille and all external badges. The overall look is quite stealthy, appealing to those who seek a fast SUV that feels more subdued than offerings from Ferrari, Lamborghini, or Bentley.

The interior mirrors the exterior's dark aesthetic, featuring Ebony Windsor leather on most surfaces, along with ample piano black plastic. While it may attract fingerprints, it coheres with the SUV’s overall dark theme.

Like other variants of the Range Rover Sport SV, the Black is equipped with a BMW-sourced 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 that employs mild-hybrid technology, delivering 626 hp and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) of torque. This performance allows the standard Sport SV to reach 60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.8 seconds, but the Black variant is even quicker, achieving 60 mph in 3.6 seconds and reaching a top speed of 165 mph (266 km/h).

Land Rover will display the new SUV at this month's Goodwood Festival of Speed, with orders set to open later this year.
