The remarkable paint job on this 911 GT3 Touring required 700 hours to finish.
This unique 911 GT3 Touring showcases hand-painted Fire Red lion graphics by an artist from Luxembourg.
The exterior finish involved 700 hours of work, making it the most intricate paint job Porsche has produced thus far.
The headliner is adorned with an embroidered map of Luxembourg along with lines from the national anthem.
Porsche’s Sonderwunsch, or ‘special wishes’ department, serves those who desire more than the automaker's standard customization options and has crafted some stunning vehicles over the years. This custom 911 GT3 Touring is the latest creation from the Sonderwunsch division, made to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Porsche Luxembourg.
According to Porsche, this GT3 boasts the most complex exterior finish of any vehicle produced by the Sonderwunsch division. The body is painted in Ice Grey Metallic, while local artist Jacques Schneider has added a detailed Fire Red lion graphic on the hood, quarter panels, doors, fuel filler cap, rear spoiler, and roof.
Porsche states that it took 700 hours to achieve the perfection of the exterior on this 911 GT3. The red lion symbolizes “power, strength, and Luxembourg’s national identity,” and Schneider has used this same design on fine porcelain items.
The custom features don’t end there. This 911 is equipped with special 20- and 21-inch wheels painted in Graphite Grey. Fine lasers were utilized to engrave the phrase ‘Vive Vive Vive.’ Additionally, the grille displays the number ‘75’, while there are matte black badges on the B-pillars and matte black ‘911 GT3 Touring’ lettering on the rear deck lid. Porsche has also included brushed black aluminum door sill guards that read ‘Porsche Lëtzebuerg.’
From the Exterior to the Interior
A Sonderwunsch project wouldn’t be complete without a distinctive interior, and this GT3 Touring certainly delivers. The headliner features an embroidered map of Luxembourg with the opening lines from the country's national anthem. Lions are incorporated into the headrests, and the backrests of the seats feature white ‘Vive’ lettering.
“We have been accustomed in the Sonderwunsch department to receiving requests with extravagant concepts and unique details from our discerning and creative clients,” remarked Alexander Fabig, vice president of Individualisation and Classic at Porsche. “This 911 GT3 with the Touring Package, created for Porsche Luxembourg, has once again allowed our customization experts to showcase their talent and, in many cases, venture into new territory.”
