The enhanced all-wheel drive version delivers 440 hp and 498 lb-ft of torque.
Earlier this month, Cadillac unveiled the 2026 Optiq-V, and now the luxury brand has shared several updates for the standard model. These updates are significant, as they include two new powertrains and a newly standard NACS port, ensuring convenient access to Tesla Supercharger stations.
Looking at the base Optiq, it comes equipped with an 85 kWh battery pack and a rear-mounted motor that produces an estimated 315 hp (235 kW / 319 PS) and 332 lb-ft (450 Nm) of torque. This is quite impressive, surpassing the current all-wheel drive iteration.
Moreover, the 2026 Optiq presents a new “rear-wheel drive based all-wheel drive system,” which offers an estimated 440 hp (328 kW / 446 PS) and 498 lb-ft (674 Nm) of torque. This represents a significant upgrade from the prior rating of 300 hp (224 kW / 304 PS) and 354 lb-ft (479 Nm).
Cadillac has not revealed complete performance specifications but mentioned that the 2026 Optiq boasts an estimated range of 300 miles (483 km). When the battery is low, it can achieve up to 79 miles (127 km) of range in just ten minutes.
In addition to the powertrain enhancements, the 2026 Optiq includes “Vision Enhanced Parking.” While details are sparse, it appears to be an advanced version of Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist, utilizing cameras and radar sensors.
Finally, the crossover is equipped with the latest iteration of Super Cruise, incorporating a variety of upgrades such as Google Maps integration and automated lane changes to maintain the route. It also features a new hands-on capability that helps keep the vehicle centered in its lane and at a safe distance from the vehicle in front, facilitating smoother transitions on and off Super Cruise-compatible roads.
Additionally, there is an improved adaptive cruise control system that can automatically adjust to accommodate varying speed limits. Similar to the Vistiq, this system should allow for exceeding speed limits if desired. For instance, if driving at 75 mph in a 70 mph zone and the speed limit changes to 55 mph, the car will reduce speed to 60 mph.
While Cadillac has yet to disclose pricing information, the 2026 Optiq is expected to be available at dealerships later this year.
