Jeep’s Wagoneer Command Operations Vehicle (COV) includes sirens, lights, and upgrades for VIP transportation for agencies.

Powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo engine, it generates 420 hp and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 6.3 seconds.

It is available in both short and long-wheelbase configurations designed for VIP transport and law enforcement.

The Ford Explorer has long been recognized as the full-size SUV commonly used by law enforcement agencies throughout the United States, but Jeep is now seeking a share of that market. The automaker has unveiled its new Command Operations Vehicle (COV), based on the standard Wagoneer but modified to fulfill the needs of government entities in the U.S. and Canada.

This specially designed Wagoneer caters to high-profile motorcades and VIP transportation and comes in both short and long-wheelbase versions. At first glance, it may appear similar to a typical Wagoneer, but it features several enhancements that distinguish it from standard production models. Unless you are extremely wealthy or influential, you may never have the opportunity to enter one.

Jeep's modifications begin with an advanced lighting and electrical setup that incorporates flashing blue and red lights situated behind the grille, along the underside of the sun visors, along the sides, and in the rear window. Additionally, there’s a siren located behind the grille along with a custom wiring harness and power distribution center that supports a range of devices including a new camera, computer, radio, radar, siren, printer, and modem.

      What Lies Beneath?

The vehicle continues to utilize the well-known 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged six-cylinder Hurricane engine, which is rated at 420 hp and allows the vehicle to reach 60 mph in just 6.3 seconds.

Moreover, the Wagoneer COV is equipped with the Quadra-Lift air suspension system, providing a smooth ride despite its formidable presence. In terms of safety features, it includes the standard systems found in the regular model, such as a 10-inch head-up display with night vision, active lane management, and forward collision warning with automatic braking.

All Wagoneer COVs include three years of Jeep Connect services and access to the Safety and Security Package for 10 years. This encompasses the Stolen Vehicle Assistance system, as it’s likely that someone would be interested in stealing this vehicle.

“From motorcades in Washington, D.C. to high-profile logistical needs across every state and county, the Jeep Wagoneer COV is poised to become a leader in secure VIP transportation and has already attracted significant interest from government agencies since its launch in January 2025,” stated Ryan Austin, Stellantis law enforcement program manager.

Jeep mentioned that it collaborated closely with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies to bring this specialized Wagoneer to fruition and has opened order placements at dealerships nationwide. While prices have not been disclosed, they are likely considered confidential information.
