Video from security cameras at an exotic car dealership in the Netherlands has gone viral, depicting the chaotic moments when the owner was approached by police while trying to save his luxury vehicles from a nearby fire. The incident occurred last week in Moordrecht and was marked by confusion; had cooler heads prevailed, it’s likely this story wouldn’t be making headlines.
Reports indicate that a fire erupted in the building adjacent to Gräper Automotive. While local firefighters rushed to the scene, the business owner attempted to save as many of his vehicles as he could. He was observed moving an Audi Q7 from the showroom area and removing two bollards to drive out several cars, including a Ferrari 812 Superfast, an Audi RS Q8, a Ferrari 488 GTB, a Mercedes-AMG GT R, and a classic pickup truck.
In a related video, Florida police performed a PIT maneuver on a yacht as if it were a stolen Hellcat on the water.
However, the owner’s efforts did not stop there. He rushed into the workshop to drive out a BMW M5 Touring, a Mercedes G63, an Audi RS6, and an Audi RS5. As this vehicle evacuation transpired, local police and fire services arrived, leading to a deterioration of the situation.
A video shows the business owner trying to enter his workshop, apparently to help direct a worker driving a Ferrari F12. However, he is forcefully pushed back by one police officer. Two additional officers then appear, with one attempting to restrain him from behind.
He is then roughly shoved away by another officer and, moments later, is hit with pepper spray to the face. He is placed in handcuffs and arrested, seemingly without justification.
An Instagram user claiming to know the owner mentioned that firefighters were assisting him in moving the vehicles out of the building before the police intervened and demanded he leave the premises.
