Today, many insurance companies deem it unworthy to repair vehicles even with moderate damage.

A Charger Daytona has suffered damage to its rear, but repairs could still be possible.

The electric Scat Pack variant can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 3.3 seconds.

With only 822 miles on the odometer, it stands as an excellent candidate for restoration.

In early April, one of the initial crash-damaged 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona models arrived at our office following a significant side collision. It wasn't long before a second model appeared just days later. A few weeks later, a third Charger Daytona is currently at one of IAAI's facilities in the U.S., being prepared for sale.

This latest model is the Charger Daytona Scat Pack version, located in Atlanta, Georgia. The car was deemed a total loss with just 822 miles (1,322 km) on the odometer. Unsurprisingly, the insurer concluded that it wasn't worth repairing, which seems like a bit of an extreme response considering the circumstances. The damage appears to be manageable and could likely be fixed without much hassle.

The damage seems confined to the rear of the vehicle, likely due to a rear-end collision. There’s a possibility that the driver backed into something, but we’ll stick with the rear-end notion for now. The rear bumper is damaged, the tailgate is misaligned, and one taillight is completely shattered.

Some harm may have also been inflicted on the rear crash structure of this Charger, but determining that solely from these images is challenging. From what is visible, the vehicle could be restored with a new bumper, tailgate, and taillight, and may require a new rear window. Aside from that, it appears to be in good condition, with no noticeable damage on the sides or front. Additionally, the impact wasn’t forceful enough to deploy the airbags.

While the fully electric Charger hasn’t generated significant excitement or interest among enthusiasts, it would be unfortunate if this car went unrepaired. Despite being electric, it boasts an impressive 670 hp and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque from its dual electric motors. It includes a 100.5 kWh battery pack and can reach 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 3.3 seconds, faster than the previous Charger Hellcat Redeye with 797 hp.
