The refreshed C8 Corvette will feature new technological enhancements inside, along with some ergonomic adjustments.

The revamped interior of the 2026 Corvette eliminates the contentious wall of buttons.

Chevrolet also seems to be introducing a larger infotainment display in the updated C8 model.

The redesign incorporates physical buttons beneath the new touchscreen for climate controls.

It’s quite surprising to note that the C8 Chevy Corvette has been available for over five to six years now. Time moves quickly when you're producing mid-engine supercars aimed at a wider audience. The first significant update is now underway for the 2026 model year. Although the exterior is likely to remain largely unchanged, the interior is reportedly undergoing a substantial renovation, according to a recent internal leak, a claim substantiated by our own spy photos.

When the C8 debuted, its distinctive interior design attracted considerable attention. The wall of buttons that effectively divided the cabin between the driver and passenger ignited much discussion. While some appreciated the cockpit-inspired feel, others viewed it as an unnecessarily complex solution to a non-existent issue. Early reports indicate that Chevrolet intends to phase out this divisive design in favor of something more traditional, albeit arguably less distinctive, for the 2026 model.

A recently leaked GM parts diagram, which surfaced on the Corvette Forum and was featured by Corvetteblogger, shows that the 2026 Corvette will retain its recognizable digital instrument cluster but will include a larger infotainment screen compared to the current version. Below this display, there are ten individual buttons that appear to be part of the climate control system.

What's uncertain is whether the overall shape of the center console will be modified or will remain the same. The diagram lacks sufficient detail to confirm if the existing jet fighter-style transmission toggle switches will continue or be redesigned.

Most likely, the base model Corvette Stingray will be included in the 2026 update, and it would be surprising if the Z06 and E-Ray do not also receive the new interior. However, it remains unclear if the Corvette ZR1 will feature the updated interior, as it was launched last year with the previous layout.

One of the most anticipated additions to the Corvette lineup is the Zora. It is rumored to combine the twin-turbo 5.5-liter flat-plane crank V8 from the ZR1 with the 160 hp electric motor from the E-Ray, potentially delivering over 1,200 hp, positioning it as a formidable competitor to the McLaren W1, which boasts 1,258 hp, and the Ferrari F80 with 1,184 hp.
