Potential Side Effects May Involve Tesla Regret, Public Humiliation, and Nightmares About Elon Musk | Carscoops

Elon Musk and his automotive company are currently under scrutiny due to the Tesla Takedown movement.

A new video has been introduced by the Troublemakers, which serves as a comedic pharmaceutical advertisement aimed at highlighting Tesla Regret Syndrome.

Many 'symptoms' are mentioned, but relief is suggested through selling your Tesla and unloading stock.

The Tesla Takedown movement has taken a humorous turn with the release of a public service announcement focusing on a “condition that is affecting a large number of people.” This condition is known as Tesla Regret Syndrome, and unfortunately, it impacts millions.

Produced by the Troublemakers alongside a group of filmmakers from Seattle, including director Megan Griffiths, the two-minute video features several Tesla owners who regret their purchase and experience a “deep and abiding sense of dread with each moment they are awake.”

Moreover, the video elaborates on how one symptom affects those who “selected their vehicle out of concern for the future, only to realize that the CEO is an egomaniac intent on dismantling the U.S. Government for profit.” Nonetheless, as is common in pharmaceutical advertisements, help is available.

Sadly, the suggested remedy isn’t a pill but rather selling your car and getting rid of Tesla stock. The video mentions that, due to the impending recession, this treatment might not be feasible for everyone, recommending temporary relief by using a bumper sticker that criticizes Elon Musk. Owners can also share anti-Tesla content, participate in protests, and advise others to steer clear of the company.

This video forms part of a broader campaign that consists of Tesla debadging stations and banners about Tesla Regret Syndrome to be displayed over highways. Additionally, informational pamphlets, a dedicated website, and a help line at 1-866-EFF-MUSK have been established.

The website lists a variety of symptoms, such as avoiding eye contact when entering or exiting the vehicle, involuntarily stating how long ago the car was purchased, flinching at honks, and obsessively browsing online for other electric vehicles.

This campaign showcases creativity, and Valerie Costa from the Troublemakers stated their motivation was to empower customers who felt they were turned into “rolling billboards for a Nazi undermining our nation’s infrastructure.” She emphasized, “Musk is not all-powerful, and Tesla owners currently possess unique leverage… so we aimed to express that through creativity and humor.”
