E-Type parts and chassis components from Jaguar Classic are produced using original blueprints and contemporary 3D CAD modeling to guarantee a perfect fit.
The British brand offers 30 replacement body panels for the legendary E-Type. These Jaguar Classic components come with a two-year warranty in the UK and Europe. Such initiatives ensure that some of the automotive industry's most iconic models remain accessible.
As Jaguar embarks on a bold, if somewhat controversial, rebranding journey, there is at least positive news for those who value the brand's heritage. Last year, Jaguar initiated a contentious marketing campaign as part of this reinvention, which displeased many traditionalists and loyal fans. Nevertheless, the British marque has not entirely overlooked its history.
Jaguar has recently unveiled an expanded lineup of new and old parts for the classic E-Type. This new offering, available through Jaguar Classic, aims to assist owners in keeping these vintage vehicles operational.
The Coventry-based brand, owned by Tata Motors, has been providing E-Type parts for some time, but the selection has now significantly increased. This includes front cross-member assemblies, front frame assemblies, floor panels, and outer sills. Jaguar has also sought to remain faithful to the original E-Type by employing the same Reynolds tubing technique for the front frame assembly as used during the E-Type’s production.
Additionally, there are over 30 new body panels available for what many regard as the most beautifully designed car ever. While some may agree with this sentiment, given that even Enzo Ferrari labeled it as such, some prefer to argue that his brand's 250 GTO is aesthetically superior (though considerably rarer and more expensive). Regardless, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
Returning to the parts, they all come with a two-year warranty in the UK and Europe or a one-year warranty in international markets. New doors, bonnets, linings, and interior trim can also be ordered through Jaguar Classic, which additionally provides replacement engines, transmissions, and exhaust components.
To ensure a precise fit, Jaguar’s engineers utilized original blueprints in conjunction with modern 3D CAD modeling. New components were scanned alongside original parts to ensure their compatibility, allowing for straightforward installation by owners.
Jaguar is undertaking a courageous transformation to produce and sell exclusively high-end electric vehicles. However, it is encouraging to see the brand still investing in maintaining some of its most historic models, ensuring legendary classics like the E-Type remain recognizable to younger generations growing up in the electric vehicle era.
Clearly, Jaguar is not the first to provide direct factory support for its classic models; other manufacturers already offer such services. For instance, Aston Martin sells new engine blocks and gearboxes for its vintage cars, while Nissan provides full restorations for classic Skylines.
“Introducing these parts is a significant development for E-Type owners,” said Jaguar Classic director Dominic Elms. “They can be fully assured that the parts will be completely compatible with their vehicles and that they come straight from the original manufacturer.
“Every item undergoes rigorous scrutiny, with a range of quality assurance processes implemented across Jaguar Classic to ensure that these parts will enable E-Types worldwide to be driven and enjoyed for many years to come.”
