Smart has unveiled the new #5 Brabus, which delivers 637 horsepower.
This mid-size crossover comes with 21-inch wheels and a premium interior.
In Germany, the starting price is €60,900, and orders will open later this month.
Prior to its debut at the Shanghai Auto Show later this month, Smart has presented the #5 Brabus, a high-performance electric crossover that will be available in several international markets, excluding North America.
Positioned as Smart’s flagship model, the #5 Brabus enhances the standard version with distinctive 21-inch monoblock wheels featuring a two-tone finish. Additionally, it showcases red brake calipers, red accents, and numerous Brabus logos.
The interior is both technologically advanced and luxurious, featuring a 10.3-inch digital instrument cluster alongside dual 13-inch displays. Drivers will also appreciate an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel adorned with illuminated Brabus lettering.
The crossover also includes microfiber and Dinamica seats with red contrast stitching, which are heated and ventilated in the front and heated in the rear.
Noteworthy features comprise a panoramic glass roof, a microfiber headliner, and sporty pedals. Moreover, customers will enjoy red seat belts, a 256-color ambient lighting system, and a powerful 20-speaker Sennheiser Signature audio system exceeding 2,000 watts.
While Smart has not released detailed specifications, they have confirmed that the crossover is powered by a 100 kWh battery pack that operates an all-wheel-drive system generating a combined output of 637 hp (475 kW / 646 PS). This allows the speedy Smart to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 3.8 seconds and claim a WLTP range of 336 miles (540 km), outpacing a BMW M3. Additionally, there’s a Brabus mode that features simulated engine sounds to "enhance the driving experience."
When the battery level is low, customers can utilize the crossover's 400 kW DC fast charging capability, allowing it to charge from 10% to 80% in as little as 18 minutes.
Orders for the Smart #5 Brabus will open in Germany on April 24, with prices starting at €60,900 ($66,850). UK orders are expected to commence in the fourth quarter, though pricing for that market has yet to be announced.
