Forget about the new Formula 1 race car Lego sets. Let's talk about the iconic tuner cars from the Fast & Furious film series. The latest street racer captured in plastic brick form is the well-known bridge-jumping, hot pink Honda S2000.
Since creating your own F&F movie car replica can be quite expensive, Lego has introduced a more budget-friendly option. Part of its Speed Champions line, the 300-piece 2 Fast 2 Furious Honda S2000 is a detailed representation of the vibrant roadster driven by Suki. The 2001 S2000 first appeared in the original Fast and Furious, where it was driven by Johnny Tran, but received a makeover for the sequel.
Originally black, the Honda was repainted in its signature pink color and adorned with anime-style graphics for 2 Fast 2 Furious. The car featured in the film is now showcased at the Petersen Automotive Museum as part of its “Hollywood Customs” exhibition.
Lego
While the Lego version may not capture the sweeping curves of an actual S2000 perfectly, it makes an effort. The brick-based car is a faithful model tribute, complete with features such as custom graphics, a rear wing, grille, headlights, and even the interior TV monitor from the film car. A Suki minifigure is included as well.
Launching at $26.99, pre-orders are now open on Lego.com, with shipments set to begin on June 1. In 2023, Lego Speed Champions introduced Brian O’Connor’s R34 Nissan Skyline GT-R from the same film, while a Technic set of the Fast and Furious Toyota Supra MK4 was released just last month.
