Jeep has shared new images of the 2026 Compass in anticipation of its launch this spring.

The vehicle is built on the STLA Medium platform and will feature three different powertrain options.

Production in Italy is slated to begin later this year, although the U.S. release might be postponed due to tariffs.

The promotional campaign for the redesigned Jeep Compass is ramping up, with the company enlisting photographer Alessandro Dobici for a shoot at the Melfi factory, where the crossover will be manufactured. The resulting photos offer a stylish black and white aesthetic.

While Jeep is keeping details under wraps, they assured that the Compass will maintain a seven-slot grille and trapezoidal wheel arches. The teasers also display a front fascia resembling the Recon, featuring slim headlights and lenses designed with a grille theme.

Additionally, the grille appears to feature some illuminated elements. Other visuals reveal a prominent rear spoiler and wheels showcasing a similar grille motif.

Interior images are sparse, but the familiar "Since 1941" inscription is visible, along with glimpses of contrast stitching and "Jeep" embroidery.

The automaker has been discreet about specifics but mentioned that the Compass will be instrumental in their electrification plans. They stated that customers can anticipate an "expanded engine range with e-Hybrid, e-Hybrid plug-in, and fully electric alternatives."

Jeep launched the teaser campaign last October, initially revealing a sketch of the model along with some early details. At that time, they indicated the Compass would utilize the STLA Medium platform and start production in Italy in 2025, later confirming a European introduction for this spring.

A release in North America was initially expected for 2026, but reports suggest that the model's development is currently paused as it was intended to be manufactured at the Brampton Assembly in Canada. With a 25% tariff on imports, the model's prospects in the U.S. appear bleak, prompting Stellantis to reconsider its product strategy.
