Honda is set to involve its fans with its extensive racing heritage by offering Formula 1, IndyCar, and MotoGP items from its large collection.

      The Brazilian's 1990 McLaren F1 car was equipped with Honda's RA100E F1 engine.

Parts such as camshafts, cam covers, and pistons will be available for purchase.

The Japanese manufacturer also plans to sell IndyCar vehicles and motorcycles.

In a new venture, Honda is selling components from some of its well-known racing cars, alongside signed merchandise, unique artifacts, and complete racing machines. This new memorabilia initiative from Honda Racing Corporation will launch during Monterey Car Week this August, featuring parts from a Formula 1 engine that was driven by the legendary Ayrton Senna at auction.

Motorsport has always been a significant aspect for many of the major automotive brands globally, and Honda aims to give back to its fans by providing an opportunity to own a fragment of racing history. In 1990, Senna won the Drivers’ Championship in a Honda-powered McLaren, and the RA100E F1 engine has been taken apart with its components placed in dedicated display cases.

Components like camshafts, cam covers, pistons, and connecting rods will soon be auctioned. Having an image of Senna’s iconic McLaren F1 car on your wall is impressive, but nothing compares to owning a piece of the engine that contributed to his second World Championship.

The Japanese brand has plans to sell numerous other items from its motorsport collection. Currently, it is selecting vehicles previously used in the IndyCar series and intends to sell some of its classic motorcycles in the future. Details about which IndyCar racers and motorcycles will be available have not been disclosed, but this news is likely to please collectors and enthusiasts.

“We aim to establish this as a valuable business that allows fans passionate about F1, MotoGP, and various races to connect with Honda's racing history dating back to the 1950s,” stated HRC president Koji Watanabe. “Engaging fans to own a piece of Honda’s racing history is not a one-time effort; it will be an ongoing business that we will cultivate and expand.”
