For 2026, the GMC Sierra EV is introducing an entry-level Elevation trim and an off-road oriented AT4 model.

With the addition of these new trims, the starting price decreases from $89,900 to $62,400—a reduction of $27,500.

Both the Elevation and Denali trims will feature the new Standard Range battery pack.

The GMC Sierra EV lineup is set to grow for 2026 as the company rolls out new AT4 and Elevation trims, giving customers more options along with a notably lower starting price of $62,400.

Beginning with the base Sierra EV Elevation, this model showcases a simple yet functional design. While GMC didn’t provide extensive details, they noted it includes a power eTrunk, a MultiPro tailgate, and 18-inch wheels with a two-tone finish.

Additionally, buyers will enjoy an After Dark interior featuring a 16.8-inch infotainment system; however, the Denali’s elegant wood trim has been substituted with a cloth strip reminiscent of 1980s office furniture.

The Elevation will be available with both Standard and Extended Range batteries, although GM has not yet revealed range estimates. Both versions will utilize a dual-motor all-wheel drive system; the Extended Range model offers 645 hp (481 kW / 654 PS) and 765 lb-ft (1,036 Nm) of torque.

      2026 GMC Sierra EV AT4

The off-road-oriented Sierra EV AT4 has a base price of $79,300. It features a lifted suspension and 18-inch wheels fitted with 35-inch all-terrain tires, resulting in an extra 2 inches (51 mm) of ground clearance.

The off-road enhancements extend beyond that, as the AT4 is equipped with a standard 4-Wheel Steer system, greatly enhancing maneuverability and giving the impression of driving a much smaller pickup. Additionally, buyers will find a unique CrabWalk function and a special Terrain Mode exclusive to this trim.

Other highlights include an illuminated front badge and standard Super Cruise. The model also features a distinct Forest Storm interior, showcasing embroidered headrests and special seats with contrasting white details.

The Sierra EV AT4 will be available with Extended and Max Range batteries. The Extended Range variant produces 625 hp (466 kW / 634 PS), while the Max Range version claims 725 hp (541 kW / 735 PS). Despite the differences in horsepower, both models generate 775 lb-ft (1,050 Nm) of torque.

The Sierra EV Denali returns for 2026, offering Standard, Extended, and Max Range batteries. Thanks to the introduction of the entry-level battery, the base price reduces significantly from $89,900 to $69,700. Additionally, the price for the Extended Range version decreases from $89,900 to $77,900, leading to a savings of $12,000.

GMC has not disclosed detailed performance specifications; however, the Denali Max Range is expected to deliver 760 hp (567 kW / 771 PS) and 785 lb-ft (1,063 Nm) of torque.

The 2026 Sierra EV is anticipated to reach dealerships this summer, accompanied by several new color options including Coastal Dune, Deep Bronze Metallic, Magnus Matte, and Glacier White Tri-Coat Metallic.
