Blob With a Job: The Mercedes EQE Could Possibly Appear More Attractive as a Hearse.

The Mercedes-Benz EQ lineup represents various aspects, primarily being an all-electric series. Mercedes took the opportunity presented by this architectural change to equip its electric offerings with an abundance of in-cabin technology. However, regarding stylish exterior design, that’s a different matter. Take the EQE for instance; while its sedan and SUV versions are not unattractive, they ultimately come off as rather forgettable shapes. But observe what occurs when it's transformed into a hearse.
I won’t claim that it’s aesthetically pleasing, but by taking the EQE’s inherently vague design and turning it into something functional, they’ve given it a sense of purpose that rises above its inconspicuous nature. Previously, it was merely a shapeless blob; now it’s a blob that serves a role.
Believe it or not, there are multiple companies engaged in these conversions, but Kuhlmann Cars caught our attention due to its overall refinement (and the fact that they produced an impressive promotional YouTube video certainly didn't hurt). Not fluent in German? No worries. This is simply a visual showcase, so there's no need to learn anything new. Just relax and enjoy the presentation.
Kuhlmann isn’t just a trendy startup with lofty ambitions and a limited budget. This is a licensed operator allowed to convert factory Mercedes-Benz vehicles for professional uses. In fact, Kuhlmann also offers a hearse based on the ordinary E-Class, but in our opinion, the sleek lines of the EQE are much more suited to the high-backed design. It might resemble a cross between a vacuum cleaner and a spacecraft, but that’s part of its charm.

Similar to the standard EQE, Kuhlmann’s hearse is highly customizable. There’s even a version available with full windows on all sides in the rear, perfect for those who prefer a mobile viewing experience. Kuhlmann has also gone the extra mile to include a blacked-out section behind the driver’s cabin to create a floating roof effect. Just because you’re deceased doesn’t mean you can’t make a grand entrance.
