The spring sun is streaming through my window blinds as I write, and it's tempting me to head outside. However, I’ll finish posting about this EDC deal first since you all need to check out the savings on everyday carry gear. BladeHQ has fantastic discounts on knives across various price ranges. You can also stock up on some tools from BHQ, but I turned to one of our favorites, Coast, to find some great deals on flashlights starting under $10.
If you're in search of a practical, reliable pocket knife you can use in challenging situations, you can't go wrong with the Gerber FAST Draw Tanto Knife for just $19.99. It features a 3-inch 7Cr17MoV blade with a black titanium-nitride finish. This is an assisted opening knife with a textured nylon handle. It’s not a knife you’ll display in a case at home, but after a few years, every scratch will narrate its own story.

There are several more reliable and affordable knives listed below. The SOG Aegis Frame Lock Knife Stainless Steel is priced at only $16.99. It’s the kind of knife that will serve you well for years, and it’s affordable enough that someone like me might buy it just to practice sharpening my blades. I know many of you love the Gerber FlatIron Cleaver Frame Lock Knife; you purchase a lot of these every time I find them on sale like this. It’s a steal at $24.99.

If you’ve read my EDC reviews, you know that I prefer to carry mini tools rather than multitools. However, I'm aware that many of you appreciate multitools, so I included a Gerber Truss below for under $30. I also came across a handy little hex driver with bits from CRKT. It has an aluminum body containing 6 Torx bits, designed for knife maintenance, though you can use other bits to enhance its EDC utility. For something larger, the Wiha GoBox is likely what you're looking for. It’s priced at $37.55 and will transform you into a portable MacGyver.

I’ve tested a couple of Coast flashlights; both have a pocket-sized design. I have a few more waiting to be tested. I appreciate Coast’s products, and buying them on sale is an added bonus. The XP18R is a larger light that’s likely suitable for EDC only if you’re Larry Daley. There are two smaller options that will easily fit in your pocket and provide ample light. Additionally, there are Rite in the Rain pens that continue to write even when wet or dirty, making them perfect for outdoor use or when working on cars. There’s also a power bank that resembles a canteen but is very rugged.
